A clear and accurate overview of the surface mount process from the very basic through to a fully automated process. A good reference guide for understanding how to work with SMT devices and the methods of successful rework activities.

but were afraid to ask.

This book is a joy to read; both detailed and well written with a handy section on component types, sizes and footprints this is most definitely my number 1 reference when working with SMT.

4.0 out of 5 stars For everyone, practical, interesting and inspirating

I highly recommend this textbook for anybody interested in electronic. I think that targeted readers are mainly hobbyist and students, but also professional electronic HW designers have sometime to do some rework on their prototypes. Of course, this book doesn't dvelve you into the world of highly reliable electronic design and production, but it is a very good and practical start with SMT. Author gives many clever hints and some of them was also new for me : ))
