      This is one of the most thorough, highly researched 9/11 "conspiracy" books, which is just what you'd expect from Jim Marrs, who had a long history in mainstream journalism, and who brings those skills and ethics to bear in this uncomfortable subject. Although now a bit out of date, Marrs lays out a case that is--and I wish this werent the case, believe me--basically irrefutable. The official version of events on 9/11 is a fabrication. There is no way around it. One can argue the extent of the deception (not well if youre defending the government, but its possible), but there is no way w/o incredible self deception to accept the official story.

      And I hate that, I hate thinking about the implications of that lie, and what it has led to, the lives its cost, etc. But sticking ones head in the sand wont help. Its time every American, every literate person in the western world read this book and demand an honest reckoning from those in charge that day. They were either totally incompetent or totally criminal, either way we deserve the truth.

Especially important in the book are the Appendix and Conclusion section which is written by Barbara Honneger who is an expert on this event.
      Normally, I delete ebooks after I have read them. This one is a keeper and deserves a second read. Great work.

      In the last six months my view of our government has changed drastically. I have often felt governmental decisions were misguided, sometimes corrupt, but not treasonous. I no longer feel that way.

      I grew up in the sixties. In fact I lived less than a mile from E. Howard Hunt and within a mile of LBJ and Nixon when they were VP's and George H.W. Bush when he was head of the CIA.

      Recently, I started reading some of the new books on the JFK assassination. I never felt Oswald acted alone and was always suspicious about how quickly he was named as the assassin. I always believed that the throat wound came from the front and thought the single bullet theory was stupid. I had read some of the work by Jim Garrison, but the cast of characters seemed unbelieveable.

      Then I read that E. Howard Hunt was associated with the Bay of Pigs and there was a question about whether he was in Dallas. Light bulbs started going off. Maybe Watergate WASN'T about dirty tricks and getting Nixon re-elected. Maybe it was a part of a cover up.

      I had always thought that it was a conflict of interest for a former director of the CIA (Bush, Sr) to run for President, but no one in the media ever questioned it. Wht not? Now I know I was right in my concern.

      This book outlines the next step in a 50 year conspiracy. All these terrible events are related. That is my firm conviction. It is no co-incidence that Bush, Jr is associated with 9/11 and Bush Sr is associated with CIA misadventures (and probably the JFK assassination) and Cheney is associated with both Bushes.

      Marrs does an excellent job of laying out why 9/11 was an in-house job. I'm not sure if I agree with all his conclusions about how it happened, but I agree with enough to know our gonernment is not innocent. This was a false flag. Now, how the he'll do we get our country back?
