Love it! I'm studying japanese. If you are a beginner (know to read, and have some basic grammar and vocabulary), you'll find it a bit challenging at some points, but worth it.

I find about 50% I can pretty much read and understand.

The story itself is hillarious and highly recommended!

Delivery wise, the service was also great.

As a person trying to learn Japanese on my own this has been a fantastic beginning resource for reading, as the characters speak in a modern and natural way that is easy to understand for a beginner. Plus, the stories are short, adorable, and realistic (though obviously exaggerated for the sake of humor). If you are an English speaking person looking to practice reading in Japanese, I highly recommend this series!

Perfect, completely undamaged, fully Japanese (with furigana).

It's a pretty standard sized manga. After taking off the dust cover, the cover is green and white monochrome, and really tough material. The dust cover is exactly as seen in the images. There is a small, 1/3rd brown cover over the dust cover with some text on it (I don't yet read Japanese well enough to really tell you what it says).

It came in a small bubble-wrap style envelope with plastic around it, and showed up very early in the "be here by" period.

Overall, if you are looking for Yotsubato! in Japanese, this is your best bet. It's perfect.

Cute book with loveable characters and a funny story line. It's great for people of all ages, and perfect for those studying Japanese who need a jumping off point into the world of manga. Sentences are basic but will still challenge you just enough so that you're still learning. I'll definitely be ordering the next volume.

I got my よつばと! From Anime+ and it arrived pretty fast, a month earlier than the last day of the estimated delivery date (I am in the US). Arrived in condition, no origami thank you notes or bookmarks ( as other reviwers reecived) but that is fine. I love the overall feel of this book and it is super cute :)

Bought as a study aid to learn to read Japanese (the Furigana in shonen manga is super useful) -- arrived in perfect condition and very quickly. Artwork is also great, and, from what I can tell so far, the story is a heartwarming one. Will almost certainly buy the next volume.
