How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2024I know the label calls it "pearl" vinyl, but this wax is WAY cooler than what I'd anticipate pearl to be. It's more a translucent silver with wisps of black smoke. Diary is a classic album and had been on my want list for ages; couldn't pass up getting the 30th anniversary pressing and it was well worth it! The vinyl sounds great as well. Solid pressing all around!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2024Great record, wasn’t expecting to have the bonus tracks. It was awesome hearing 8 and 9 on vinyl. And it came with a booklet about the band definitely a 10/10 product.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2002This album, the first of four studio albums by this band is often sited as their best(although I like LP2 better). This album was recorded before Jeremy(the lead singer) found Jesus so the songs are in no way religious and aren't as spiritual. However, the songs are quite deep, they reflect a painful life. This pain is reflected in Jeremy's voice(the most appealing part of this band) which alternates between a low singing voice and Higher pitched sreaming voice (At times he strains his voice so much it sounds like he's whining). The song lyrics are almost intirely about bad past experiences(espeically girls), and the music is a mix between dissent emo and Seattle grunge. This band is from Seattle, so their grunge influence is noticable, but don't be turned off from the music because of that. Their grunge influence is not overpowering, in fact its more of a compliment to their music.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2017A brilliant masterpiece . A beautiful mix of hard rock , grunge , early emo and alterna-metal . One of my favorite albums of all time and I was very late to discover this band . Heard them on a local college radio station about 8 years ago and decided to give them a try and now I'm hooked ! Hard and heavy rock with balls ! Add it to your collection , now !

VinsReviewed in Italy on November 5, 20245.0 out of 5 stars Capolavoro

pavement大好きReviewed in Japan on December 8, 20145.0 out of 5 stars 驚き!!!!!
SONG about an ANGELや、 sometimesとか、それ以外、inferrior とか、

gazzReviewed in the United Kingdom on August 17, 20175.0 out of 5 stars Groundbreaking
YouTube it and listen to it for yourself! It is far from the best album I own and several of the tracks are, at best, mediocre. However, tracks such as 'Seven' and 'In Circles' were groundbreaking and put SDRE in the vanguard of the emo music scene - they still sound rather excellent today, as well.
