listen to the gits, particularly this one will always be bitter sweet because it was the last but it along with seafish louisville is in my top favorite gits albums. the gits had a certain energy about them that just can't be matched. This cd to me has a bit of everything about them i love. they weren't just a rock band, a punk band, mias bluesy soulful voice or "grunge". they were a blend of so many things. i came upon the gits through an article about another band and their music has stuck with me more than any other punk or rock band ever has. a lot of times the same songs reappear in their different albums but often it is different. Sometimes live, sometimes not but always great. If you ever catch enter conquering chicken on vinyl at a decent price or any other gits album for that matter even if you have them on cd id suggest trying it out because the sound is different. its a nice change up. most times i listen to the cds but sometimes you just needa hear that old crackle hollow sound and mias voice is more than classic enough to pull it off beautifully. Even if you look at the track listing and see you have a lot of the songs already in your cd collection id say buy it. Its a great collection.
one thing though, there are two versions of this cd. the one with the painting of mia on it has more tracks. The guys filled it out after she died.

Unfortunately, I had heard of the gits due to the tragic death of lead singer, mia zapata. I heard a few songs by the band and decided to buy Enter: The Conquering Chicken . . . it was probably one of my better purchases . . .raw, powerful, full of genuine punk attitude and feeling !!!!!! This is definely an album to buy if you want to rock out.

The cd is fuggin' awesome! I also recommend their other one Frenching the Bully. It is just as good. If yer into punk you'll love this. Mia sings about life love and all the other things that keep ya goin'. This was the best cd I have bought since Skrewdriver's Boots and Braces!
