Product description
NEW Combo BLUWAVS CD and FLAC FILE
Amazon.com
Since Soundgarden's lamented breakup in 1997, grunge stud Chris Cornell has been working with his longtime friends and musical peers in the band Eleven--keyboardist Natasha Shneider and guitarist Alain Johannes. These stellar musicians make Cornell's latest album crisper, more musical, and less rocky than what one came to expect from Soundgarden. The soaring "Follow My Way" is epic in scope, and, in fact, Euphoria Morning is aptly titled; the album is a cohesive mood-invoking musical meditation, especially tracks such as "When I'm Down," which has a near-gospel feel thanks to backing vocals and a spare, uplifting vibe. Fans of Cornell's mellower work with the supergroup Temple of the Dog will enjoy this ardent and mellifluous 12-song collection from one of rock's most recognizable voices. --Katherine Turman

- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2024An underrated album from one of my favorite singers. “When I’m Down” and “Disappearing One” are two of my favorites and are even more haunting now that he’s passed.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2021I always loved his voice when he worked with Audiosalve, Soundgarden or any band he played but I never bought the albums because I didn't like all the songs on those albums, it was just his voice. So I took a chance on this Higher Truth c.d. and I listen constantly, mesmerized by his voice and the lyrics. His talent for writing , his soul, his heart and of course hearing that dynamic voice make me realize what a tender heart and soul he had. He is so missed. Just listen , please.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2022A coworker gave me a copy of this incredible CD back in the early 2000’s, and I literally wore it out. I just re-ordered the actual CD and I’m so happy, every song is so beautiful, so tough, so lyrical, just perfect. Set it on replay, why don’t you?
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2013Being a fan of Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of The Dog I love Chris Cornell's work. I had seen that Chris had made a few solo CD's after the break-ups of Soundgarden and Audioslave, so I decided to start with the first one. "Euphoria Morning" is my all-time favorite CD and I've owned it for 2 weeks! EVERY song is good! I am not planning on buying his other CD's but they are worth a listen, but Euphoria Morning is worth owning. I strongly recommend buying it.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2015This is a nice soft album from Chris Cornell. You won't mistake this album for anything by Soundgarden, but if you want to listen to a softer, more genuinely sincere sound from Cornell, then you might like this record. It's much better record than his album "Scream" which he put out a couple of years ago.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2020Chris Cornell never disappointed. This is one of my favorite CDs of all time, ranks up there with Higher Truth by same artist.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2017I love this album and I'm so glad I bought it. Chris was probably the most versatile and talented singer and musician in all of rock. May he be resting in peace and happiness. He was so loved.

CarolReviewed in the United Kingdom on December 19, 20065.0 out of 5 stars An original masterpiece.
What can I say...this is an absolute classic!
I first really discovered Chris through Audioslave and I am at a complete loss that I have not found this CD sooner. Perhaps it is it's apparent 'failing' (from reading some of the reviews)that is to blame for it slipping through my normally very vigilant net.
The quality of the songwriting is first class, the vocals are superb as always and all in all this is a timeless album that deserves to be appreciated by generations to come.
It is different from Audioslave (who just rock, by the way), very chilled and melodic and while drawing from a wide range of familiar musical influences, Chris has produced an unique sound that only a truely talented musical craftsman can.
The highlights for me are Can't Change Me, Flutter Girl, Preaching the End of The World, When I'm Down, Disappearing One and Pillow of Your Bones, but in all honesty all the tracks have a little something that leave you wanting more.
In my eyes Chris is up there with the most influential songwriters of the 20th/21st century and I await the release of his next solo offering (rumoured to be early 2007)with sheer desperation.
'Euphoria Morning' is totally gorgeous.
