I installed it into a light socket and took it back out because it wasn't working. The socket kept the little peice of aluminum that is supposed to plug into it and I had to flip my breaker off and use pliers to get it out of the socket. I didn't even use it ONCE before it broke.

I used these to allow powering wireless security cameras around our building. I have no need for the pull-chain, but on that note the chain is designed only to be pull downward towards the lightbulb. It doesn't work very well or at all if pulling from the side (towards the outlets)

The pull chain is very stiff. Pulling on it I feared I would damage the socket it was plugged into. Avoid.

So simple, so easy to use. No need to put in a switch or new fixture, just screw it in, screw in a light bulb and you have a fixture that can easily be turned on and off.

Unfortunately, worked for only two on/off cycles and then got stuck "on." Possibly due to horizontal mounting as opposed to vertical?

Afterwards, searching through these comments, someone else mentions that horizontal orientation places stress on the switch mechanism. If true, Leviton should note this in the product desciption.

The chains pull out so I had to take them off and use the original button to turn. No use for them!
