Serious puzzlers--particularly those who relish the 3-D variety--will enjoy the unique challenge of this sculpture puzzle, which comes together to form two sweetly smiling cherubs. There are 144 sturdy cardboard layers--all of them identical in color, many of them similar in shape. Sort them according to size, analyze their contours, and then stack them one by one on the plastic stand, using photographs on the side of the box as a guide. The 3-page instruction booklet explains how to get started and provides some useful stacking hints. If solvers are really stumped, but don't want to leave the puzzle undone, a secret solution sheet is sealed inside the booklet, providing the correct numerical sequence for stacking each number-embossed piece. The completed puzzle measures 11.5 inches wide and is suitable for display. --Elisabeth Fredrickson
