These are the same blocks from your childhood. If you are trying to find the ones you grew up with, these are the right ones.The one disappointing thing is that when I was a kid it came with a draw string bag to store them inside. This new version has a bag but it doesn't close at the top, it just has a dumb loop where you could hang it on something. I gave it 4 out of 5 because of the bag.

These blocks are on the smaller side, but that's perfect for your little one's hands. Note that for this set the letters and images on other faces do not correlate, so you might have letter B and then a crocodile or something. At this price they are a great value and can be used for a variety of things like learning letters, rolling them like dice and practicing storytelling with what shows up, math, spelling, colors, solid/outline, etc... well worth it! Also comes with a nice little bag to store them in.

These blocks are JUST OKAY. To be honest, if i can give a real rating, i'd give it a 2.5 stars.

what i like about these blocks:
1. colorful
2. made of wood
3. durable
4. they're a good decent size, not too big nor too small (although i wouldn't mind if it was a tad bit bigger)
5. comes with a bag where you can store the blocks
6. these blocks come with letters, number, and math signs
7. the letters, numbers are not stickers nor are they just drawn on, they are carved / etched. except for the animals, those are drawn on
what i don't like about these blocks:
1. so many repeats of pictures! for example, there are 4 blocks with the same four side characters / letters ( i really don't need the repeat)
2. some of the painted colors either faded or came off when we got it (some of the animals were etched in brown color, and the color has faded)
3. the way they design is bad (when the block has a letter A on one side and letter N on the opposite side, you would think the other two sides consists of animals that is related to A or N... NOPE! totally different animals that starts with different Letter!!!)

if i can improve these blocks, i would have one block dedicated to one letter of the alphabet. for example, BLOCK 1 would have an upper and lower cases of A on opposite sides, then there will be two drawings of either animal or fruits that starts with letter A.

i bought these blocks because it was on sale at the time (it was during black friday sale), if i could, i would not have bought them and rather spend my money on other better blocks.

I bought these wooden blocks primarily as props for my photography with babies. Although some reviewers have mentioned they are rather small, they are exactly the same size that I remember them from my childhood. There's a good selection of letters and numbers so it's easy to spell out words and short sentences with them. However I find that the yellow blocks don't photograph very well!

They feel durable, and my daughter (7 months old) also enjoys playing with these blocks which are a good size for her little hands to grasp.
