Wrong brand and defective.
This is not Crucial Brand Memory, it is A-Tech Brand. I installed in in my old iMac G4, it recognised the memory but crashed with the grey screen of death within a few minutes saying to restart the computer. Within a few minutes of restarting it crashed again. After I removed the memory the computer functions as normal. A-Tech did offer a full refund so as long as that goes well at least they have that going for them.

After receiving the memory, it was inserted into my Brother HL-5250DN printer - my printer would not power on. Returning memory. Memory from A-TECH is incompatible with my Brother HL-5250DN printer.

Below is helpful information from the User's Guide - pg. 57.
DIMM

For HL-5240
The HL-5240 printer has 16 MB of standard memory and one slot for optional memory expansion. You can
expand the memory up to 528 MB by installing dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs).

For HL-5250DN
The HL-5250DN printer has 32 MB of standard memory and one slot for optional memory expansion. You
can expand the memory up to 544 MB by installing dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs).

DIMM types

You can install the following DIMMs:

The ram isn't from Crucial at all. It's an Adata. I understand this ram is a little over a decade old but please don't bait and switch.

As for the Ram it works fine. I ordered two sticks but only one worked without crashing my system. The one that did work speed up the decade old system but sadly it's to old to run even the lightest of android software.

The ram that didn't work was returned super fast through amazon returns and I got my money back via gift card as soon as UPS picked it up a few days later.
