It was my favorite tea until the damned peppermint was added. Now it's a completely different tea! This new tea is not satisfying at all unless of course you want to feel like you're brushing your teeth instead of drinking tea.

Celestial Seasonings really shouldn't claim this to be the same tea because it really isn't. That's too bad considering it got the company started and all. I just wish there was a way to get the tea without the peppermint but it'll probably never happen.

this is not the old Celestial Seasonings Red Zinger!

I was so excited to find my old favorite tea on amazon. I have been looking for it in supermarkets for months, but thought it had been discontinued. However I wish I had listened to the earlier review. This is not the same formula as it was, the peppermint overpowers all the other flavors in this tea. It used to have a citrusy flavor, tangy and lovely, now all you can smell or taste is peppermint and I don't like peppermint tea.

This Tangerine Orange Zinger herbal tea provides a luscious and refreshing break from your daily grind and helps you relax as well. It's got a great taste to it that is not overpowering and if you let it steep about three and one-half minutes you're bound to enjoy it as much as I do! As another reviewer notes, the main effect is a distinctly citrus scent and taste tweaked just a bit for a really full bodied flavor and aroma.

Each bag contains the natural ingredients of red hibiscus tea with orange peel and natural tangerine flavor. There are no artificial ingredients! Celestial Seasonings even added some vitamin C to make this even better for you!

The stringless tea bags can easily be removed from your cup whenever you want just by using a spoon or anything similar to get them out of the cup. Stir the tea bag around and up and down a bit while it's in your cup before you drink it.

The tea is also caffeine free, which is a plus for those of us who don't want caffeine in our diets. That is something I always prefer.

If you like a special type of citrus flavor to your tea, this is highly recommended! Enjoy!

Ugh - Take out the mint!

We used to drink this all of the time - for years - then it disappeared. When I found a box I was thrilled! Until I brewed it...

Celestial Seasonings changed the recipe and added peppermint! Seriously?!?! So instead of that lovely bright flavor we remember so fondly you get something that tastes like liquid chewing gum - yuck. Our family is not fond of mint teas. Guess we are back to SV Teas until CS (HOPEFULLY) change it back.

Might eliminate need for prescription drugs

Have not tried RED ZINGER TEA yet. Just bought some today after reading in a health magazine that the Hibiscus component of this tea is rich in anthocyanins which can dilate blood vessels and block the enzyme which triggers hypertension in the same manner that ACE inhibitors work in common prescription drugs without their side effects. The claim in the magazine article is that RED ZINGER can lower blood pressure up to 11%. after drinking it for about two weeks.

One can also get these benefits of the HIBISCUS flower as a snack eating sweet dried flowers available in health food stores.

As many of the other Red Zinger reviews, this is not the formula of old. I also was disappointed when I could not find it in local stores for years. When I saw it here, the different looking box should have been a clue, but all of the Zingers have new designs. When I saw it here I also ordered a 6 pack. Bummer, my favorite of yesteryear is not my favorite of today. Not nearly as good of a flavor. Guess I'll just stick to Lemon Zinger. Not as bad as the Watermelon Lime, but no longer a contender for my taste buds anymore.

Awesome tea! The concentrated raspberry flavor is wonderfully intense, and quite satisfying. I made pot after steaming pot of this for a person recovering from serious abdominal surgery, on a limited diet. This tea really helped add a fun level of flavor to the bland fare, and replaced less healthy snacks. Celestial Seasonings Raspberry Zinger can also be used to brew an amazing iced-tea. Enjoy!

Our "House Special" -- on tap

Someone gave us a lovely crock and we decided to keep iced tea in our refrigerator. But we wanted a tea everyone could enjoy, not just the grownups. I bought a sampler pack of all the zingers, and we did a family taste test. Tangerine Zinger won every round!

Now we make a crock of tea once a week or so. We experimented to find the method that makes the best flavor and here's what we do: Boil a kettle of water. Put 10 bags (half a box) in the crock. Pour the hot water in and let the bags steep an hour or overnight. Take the bags out, fill the rest of the crock up with water, and put in the fridge to cool.

This is such a great alternative to sodas and black tea. Whenever we offer iced tea people say no until we tell them it's herbal, then the compliments start. It's great to see kids helping themselves, and it's so refreshing! Costs us about $1.50 per week.
