Very flimsy wires. Just the way it was folded up in the packaging was enough to break one the the lead wires. The fine tips are perfect for testing TV boards and other electronics with ultra small wiring harnesses. I was unable to use this product because it was broken but those fine tips that come with the product are handy with alligator clips for testing, if a bit unsafe. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!!!
I have been using these probes in the lab for a little over a year now and I still love them. The tips are ULTRA sharp and are invaluable when trying to test small things on a PCB, the insides of connectors, or other small things. The sharpness plus the spring loaded tips (pogo pins, as some call them) make it even easier to keep a hold without the shakyness of your hand changing thew measurement. I was able to hold a connector and both probes in one hand while using my other hand freely. There are 5 sets of tips: 1) POGO single point 2) POGO multi point (in a circle) great for probing on the top of a standoff pin or just getting an even better grip 3) POGO multi point (a little larger) 4) Standard fixed tips (also very sharp) 5) Long fixed tips, great for probing items deep in a board stack. Had to wrap all but the tip with a small piece of heatshrink so that the long shaft does not touch other things.
Overall quality is standard Pomona quality and the cables are very nice and flexible.
