Louder than expected, nice non-aggressive tone

I bought this horn for an additional courtesy horn. I wanted a horn with a non-aggressive beep tone that would not startle or offend but just call attention to the situation. It is even louder than expected even tucked up under the hood, which is okay. I bought the high tone horn and low tone horn. The high tone suits I purpose better because the low tone sounds too conventional even though higher tone than most factory horns. The high tone seems to be louder than the low tone though. It was easy to install with a positive and negative wire and one bolt fastening. I added a horn button since it is an axillary horn. I am pleased with the sound of a small beep and I think the price is reasonable.

This is a Claxton style horn so, simplicity and price are the names of the game here. Claxton's volume levels are directly proportionate to their size so taking into account this is a 3" diameter unit, it is impressively loud. Installation was very simple as it's one bolt to connect and two wires. I happened to use the stock mounting arm from my Ducati due to limited space but it should easily fit into most any factory locations. One tip however if you do find yourself changing the mount. Do not over tighten the nut on the rear of the horn that connects it to the mounting arm. That will squeeze the inner horn and reduce the sound it can produce.

Bought this for my Kawasaki Mean Streak. Wanted a lud horn. This one is very loud and I rate it at 3 stars only because of the tone. I order low tone but this one would be a high tone in my opinion. Sounds very sissy like, but it is loud. It would be nice to find a true horn aftermarket like the factory one. Oh well, this will work.

I just installed this horn on my 2016 John Deere, Gator, 825i. It is a relatively easy to install, and is 1/5 of the cost of a similar horn from Deere. I installed an inline fuse at the power source and wired everything into a relay. The horn is very loud and has a sharp sound to it. Well worth the money. Very fast shipping.
