Wow, a one-pound roll of this stuff is worth every dime it cost! Not just because it solders so well, but also because it's made in a western country where it's less apt to have toxic chems in some mystery flux brew. It has an IEC rating of ROM1, which is a moderately active rosin flux with halides. A whole pound is a lot for a hobbyist, but it's stored in a wide mouth mason jar with a bag of desiccant, so it'll do non-iso work for decades.

I cannot state that enough - it really is the best. Throw the lead-free in the trash and get this. You will not be disappointed.

It melts like butter, amazing flow and leaves a nice perfect shine. It’s also easy to clean up with alcohol after soldering. You get so much for the $$ in both quality and quantity. It is a LOT of solder!

Even though it's slightly more expensive than other options, the quality and longevity it offers make it a worthwhile investment. Don't miss out on this exceptional product.

First time I used Kester 63/37 solder. The increased flux content (3.3%) and activity (M) make perfect solder joints every time.

I had always used the cheapest solder I could find until I had some instruction from an electronics teacher with some good quality Kester solder. The difference is huge. I had some cheap solder with Chinese writing on it and tried it side by side with the Kester and the ease of use is very noticeable. This stuff melts more easily, flows where it should, and doesn't make those nasty blobs with tails. I had been thinking I was doing something wrong getting ugly solder joints. Turns out crap solder makes crap joints. Kester solder (with the right ratio) makes excellent solder joints.

If you did not already know this is the best solder you can get for electronics projects. The mixture of 63/37 is the best for proper joints that are electrically sound. The fine gauge of this makes it a lot easier to control the amount of solder. Kester is a well known excellent brand. Prior to using this I had issues with either cold solder joints or poor contact at pads because cheaper solders were not bonding properly and making poor contact.
I build amateur radio equipment at home and will not use anything except this solder. There are even some radio kit manufacturers that will not honor a warranty unless this solder is used.
    Great Stuff.
The Seller is excellent too. Thy provided a great price and fast shipping with no problems at all. I went to their website afterward and found they carry a lot of great products and I would recommended them.
They had the best price on the solder I could find too.

It works very well. I had no issues using this solder. It came perfectly coiled and packaged. My only issue was the tape they used to secure the spool inside the cardboard container. It is secured with a packing tape. This tape was impossible to remove without damaging the paper label on the spool. So now the spool has no information on it. It is a simple fix with a pen. However, I prefer the factory print over my own atrocious handwriting. That is literally the only negative and that is a small gripe.
