We started off using the vented Dr Brown bottles & loved them as it seems to make a huge difference with swallowing air & causing gassiness. But the vent is needed with the nipple cap but when we mixed the formula clumps of unmixed powder gathered around & in the vent. So we got these caps to use to shake the bottle with powder & water to ensure its thoroughly mixed & dissolved before placing the vent & nipple cap. We also use it while out & about with a bottle of water & another bottle of the powder formula to mix up later when needed.

Will NOT travel without these!

I made the mistake of putting together a bottle when I was in rush. Evidently, I didn't close the cap all the way - unbeknownst to me.... However, in fairness to myself, I have to admit that some of the caps are very difficult to seal on the Dr. Brown's Options Bottle, 4 Ounce, 4-Pack. This is the one flaw that I find with the Dr. Brown bottles and it is one that can be very problematic. I had to rush my dog to the vet with my newborn baby in a downpour and did not have the time to take the entire diaper bag so I just threw the bottle in my purse - thinking it was sealed. The vet was close anyway and I figured if I needed anything it would just be a bottle to soothe baby. Well, in the vets office I started to smell the formula (which is pretty gross - Nutramigen with Enflora LGG Baby Formula - 19.8 oz Powder Can (Pack of 4)) I didn't have much time to investigate and I didn't think much of it until I noticed that it was leaking in my car. And then as I walked into the house, a trail of formula preceded me. The fluid had seeped out and soaked through the purse (which was a little crocheted purse that my grandma had owned... it was a sentimental item I kept when she passed). I was pretty upset about that because this kind of mess is the kind that can't be cleaned and I'm going to have to throw the purse away, which really saddens me. Lesson learned. I purchased these caps immediately after this incident and will never travel without them. They do the job with no uncertainty. I only wish that they actually came with the bottles and weren't something that had to be purchased separately. It would also help if the bottles didn't leak and if the caps snapped on the way they should. But alas, they don't - so this is the only option to the Options.

Must-have if you're using Dr. Brown's!

We've been exclusively using Dr. Brown's bottles for both my babies, and we love them! These caps are a great addition, and so helpful if you're using the bottles for formula. Because of the large vent inside the Dr. Brown's bottles, it is hard to properly mix formula, especially if you're filling the bottle to its maximum capacity; with the vent, there just isn't enough room for the powder to dissolve, which leads to annoying clumps. Using these caps to mix the formula and then replacing the vent and nipple will make sure you get perfectly mixed formula every time! These caps fit great on the bottles and don't leak.

We've used these caps with two babies (for a total of about 2 years), and they're still holding up well! They're very affordable, and they also work with my Ameda breast pump bottles. Plus, they're dishwasher safe on the top rack for easy cleaning!

Works for most standard necked bottles

I purchased these caps to replace the two piece cap Amedea has going on but these aren't the right fit for their storage bottles. They do screw on however if you need a tight seal these won't be on straight, they sit a bit slanted at the tightest it can screw on for. Even so, the caps provide a good seal and don't leak.

I did try these with my Medela and Evenflo storage bottles much to my delight these fit and screw on properly. These tops cheaper than replacements from their respective companies is a good go to as they work well and clean easily. I'm sure if anyone is using other standard bottles like Gerber classic these tops would work just fine. Overall for the price and quality highly recommend and would repurchase if any is lost/worn.

If you use Dr. Brown bottles, you need these caps. These caps come in super handy when you're not at home, and need to mix formula on the go. We either fill bottles with nursery water or cooled boiled water before we leave the house, or use bottled water we pick up while we are out. When it's time to mix formula, we mix the powder into the water in the bottle, cap and shake. We then replace the cap with the collar and nipple.

I bought these to store milk in and taking on the go. The REAL original caps are made different and sturdier. These claim they are the replacement versions however you can clearly tell just by looking at them that they are not the same. VERY different than the ones that come with dr. brown's bottles. They work but just lack quality, I could not find the original ones in stores so I had to resort to via online. They are okay for a while but do not expect them to last long. They just feel and look cheap but I guess thats why they are $2.49, what can you expect!
