Nice and small in size

wonderful brand

This is a wonderful brand of Vit D3. I have been taking 4000IU's daily for almost 10 months after finding i was very low in D. I am feeling 100% better and my level went from 23 to 48.

This brand contains no starch, soy, yeast, dye etc. This is important for many of us with low D who also have thyroid issues.

I highly recommend this brand for anyone considering Vit D supplementation!

Working well after some trial and error

My Vitamin D was low when I was tested several years ago, so I started taking this brand of Vitamin D based on the recommendation of a doctor who prefers Vitamin D3 suspended in oil. I took 2,000-4,000 IU per day, as advised, and was very disappointed when my serum level did not change at all. Frustrated, I wrote a negative review of this product.

Well, as it turns out, the product was not at fault. The 2,000-4,000 IU per day that was recommended to me was simply not enough. I decided to increase my dose to 6,000 IU/day, and this did eventually raise my level to optimal. When I continued at that dose, my level ended up going too high! For me, the correct maintenance dose seems to be 4,000-5000 IU/day.

Based on this, I have amended my rating. This product does seem to work, but it may take time to find the right dose. I like the fact that this product does not contain a lot of the garbage additives that are in so many other supplements. And the Subscribe and Save price here on Amazon is hard to beat.

High Quality

After finding out I was vitamin D deficient my doctor had me on a high dose for a few months to bring the vitamin D level back up to normal. One of the contributing factors to my deficiency was that I became disabled and no longer was out in the sun as much as I used to be, missing out on the biggest source of vitamin D. This brand worked so well that after being on a much larger dose I am down to one of these small, easy to take 1000 IU gel caps once a day as a maintenance dose. To me that says a lot about the quality of this brand and one that I highly recommend.

Love these...tiny!

I especially love these because they are very tiny gel caps. My children can very easily swallow them (ages 8 and 11), so no-fuss at vitamin time. I also think that it has kept my family healthier since we started taking D3. We've managed to bipass all the nasty bugs that have been going around with their friends this fall. May or may not be the D, but it's the first time we've made to Thankgiving without missing any school.

Painless pill consumption

These little capsules are mighty easily swallowed. I don't understand complaints about their taste unless one was chewing them. I don't know how much good they are doing for my well being but I know I don't get much sunshine these days. It's cloudy as often as not and being an old geezer I am well covered up when I venture out this time of the year. However I THINK they are helpful and that could be the so-called "placebo effect" but I guess that is almost as good. I don't see anything in the ingredient list that could be damaging either so I have to give them 5 stars.
