This CD features some of the favorite music from OoT performed with a more classical sound by a string ensemble, occasionally adding other intstruments such as the piano, harp, and, of course, the ocarina. The music is absolutely beautiful. It was already very good in the game, but it's even better to hear it played by live instruments. My only problem is that they don't have anything in English. The CD comes with a booklet about Ocarina of Time, but unfortunately it's all in Japanese, so I can't read it. I don't think that alone is enough to reduce the rating for it. If you enjoyed the music from the game, you should definitely look into getting this CD.

One of the best adaptations ever

You like the soundtrack of "Ocarina of Time"?
This is the best adaptation I know of a videogame soundtrack.
Except for the "Temple of Time" theme (for which I would prefer a longer, a capella version), everything is nearly magnified.
You like Zelda and/or chamber music? Buy this CD!

I bought this CD for my daughter as she loves zelda and Ocarina of Time is one of her favorites- this is all the music from the game and it is so well done and beautiful

The gateway to a magical world

If you loved (or continue to love, 'cause the love doesn't die) Zelda and the Ocarina of Time; and if you're a musician, a fan of classical music, or a person who enjoys new twists on old favorites, then this CD is likely to stake its claim on a warm, snuggly place in your heart. All the leitmotifs and melodies in the game are now gorgeously expanded, and the word "symphony" is not an exaggeration. If you turn the lights off and close your eyes, you will be back in Kokiri Forest, galloping over Hyrule Field on Epona, chasing chickens in Kakariko Village, exploring the Temple of Time, and, of course, playing the ocarina. What John Williams did for the movies, Koji Kondo did for The Legend of Zelda and the Ocarina of Time. Who says you can't go home again?
