This is a surprisingly well-made item for the price. The plastic is well formed, smooth with no pressing seams. The paint is well-applied and the spring is sturdy and solidly attached to the base. The base itself could be a bit stickier so it attaches better to the dash. However...despite the fact that my dash doesn't seem to have a single square inch of flat surface, which means the Little Monk is only partially stuck, it still hasn't been knocked off even though I drive some pretty bumpy roads. A little two-sided tape would probably ensure that the little guy never gets tossed around in the cab of my truck. In the meantime, I do enjoy seeing him bobbing and weaving. His gentle smile reminds me to drive mindfully.
UPDATE: It's now March 2015 and this little guy hasn't moved an inch despite not being entirely stuck to my dash. He's been through a very hot summer and a couple of extremely cold winters and still sticks like a champ. Seriously, an excellent purchase.
