Best quality, perfect size

My daughter is probably more versed in trying out silverware than most 1 year olds (my wife started handing her forks 6 months ago, while I was hesitant to give her anything but a rubber coated spoons) but I love this set. It's lightweight for little people but still very much real silverware. The spoon is just deep enough for soup, but not so deep she can't get anything out of it. The tips of the fork pierce foods just as easily as adult silverware. The knife won't be too useful for her just yet, but the size is perfect. She'd also want me to note that she loved the fancy box it came in. Very high quality and worth the $20.

Great quality. A set all of your kids can use and their kids too! Ive taken care of kids whose parents thought they were smart for buying cheap plastic and silicone covered flimsy metal utinsels and those kids are always messy eaters and have terrible control of their utinsels... My son does GREAT with good solid metal utinsels! He rarely gets a spot on his bib either!

What a sweet little set! We're trying to phase out plastic and cartoon character utensils in favor of something that looks more like what mom and dad use, and this fit the bill perfectly. My son is still getting used to using a fork and knife, but the spoon has already won this picky guy's seal of approval. The utensils have a nice heft to them; they feel like quality materials, and I can envision using them for years. And once the little guy outgrows them, we can pass the set on to another family with young children, hold onto them as keepsakes, or use them as a cocktail fork and demitasse!

I've been very happy with these, especially the forks. I got one set for each of my toddlers since they always want to use my fork or spoon instead of their toddler ones with colorful and fatter grips. So, these let them be like the adults with utensils that fit their hands, and they love them. The fork is nice because the tines are a little sharper than a lot of toddler forks, so they can actually spear food a little easier. The spoon has a nice depth, and the knife is what you would expect (no real blade) to be safe in the hands of a small child. It's essentially used for buttering things or for them to practice cutting on softer foods like grilled salmon which "cuts" easily. These have lasted months through the dishwasher and toddler use and still look great. My only wish is that I could buy more sets, but I won't in principle because the cost just stuns me. I realize their Revere line is supposed to be a superior quality, but this is toddler stuff that they will soon grow out of. There's regular Oneida flatware with 45 pieces, service for 8 for about $50, and I would like to see them offer some of that level of flatware for the child. There are some baby sets that are a little cheaper, but they aren't the same items as in the child sets, so I removed a star for this product being pretty high-priced for what it is.

I grew up with the Paul Revere series and always loved the simplicity of and function of the design. The quality and presentation of the child's version is excellent, the set is packaged in a hard cardboard gift box hinged on one side with a faux suede covered plastic insert. The product is an exact miniature version of the adult size silverware just right for your 1-2 year old child. A great gift for that special child in your family.

This set is just like regular silvereware but child size The best part is the fork actually can pierce the food so that the toddler can pick it up. The knife is not sharp but can cut food so that they can learn.

Received this set several months ago for my now 5-year old granddaughter. After years of "alternative" flatware, this set has caught her permanent attention. It's so "grown-up" and she takes great care of its place in the flatware drawer. It makes me wish Oneida would sell these in flatware sets, say for four, with extended pieces. A family gathering may have many children, and children have friends.

My granddaughter has both enjoyed and happily shared this set. For me, the care is so easy, it simply goes into the dishwasher with the adult stainless and comes out looking new. These pieces seem to tell you they will last, and last and last. I'll be getting additional sets as it fits my needs and have alerted Oneida to the possibilities. After years of expense with "alternative" flatware, I now see a flatware set she will still be able to look at as an adult. Hey, with good cooking and good eating, we're talking about looking at good memories here!

I highly recommend this set. I also recommend requesting and using reasonably priced good quality flatware for children.

Based on Product dimension I took a chance and ordered 2 sets for our twins. Although the set looks really nice, it's too small for 5 years old kids. My guess would be it would be this set would be perfect for 3 and 4. For 2 years old, I would not recommend b/c the edge is not like toddler's folk rather like adults. If the items were about 30% bigger, I would have kept them for our children.
