I purchased this set to help me remove a stripped screw in a Dell laptop. The screw was holding the RAM cover in place.
I live in the UK and decided to buy two sets of screw extractors just in case one was not up to the job, I purchased this Eazypower set and also the Alden Micro Grabit set. The reason I purchased from Amazon US is that all the extractors on our UK site got terrible reviews and these two products were no available in the UK.
I first tried the Eazypower set, I followed the instructions perfectly and all it managed to do was created a hole in the screw, it didn't even begin to extract it. I tried the only two sizes that were possible to use in this scenario.
I then switched over to the Alden Micro Grabit set and attempted the same process. Guess what? The screw came out first time, no issues whatsoever.
Maybe I was just unlucky? Perhaps this EazyPower set somehow aided the Grabit set? I don't know. All I know is I'm extremely glad I purchased the Grabit set as well as this one otherwise I would of completely wasted my time and money.
Would I recommend this set? Based on my first experience no, I'd say get the Micro Grabit set if you are a computer technician wanting to extract small laptop/desktop screws.
Perhaps this EazyPower will prove it's worth in the future and get something out that the Grabit can't...lets hope so! If it does - I will be back to update this review.

These are a single stage screw/bolt remover. As they come with no instructions some people are confused. All you need to do it put your drill in reverse, and drill into the damaged head like your using a drill bit. Once it removes some metal it will make a surface it can bite on and drive the screw or bolt out. You want to use the largest bit possible that will fit in the hole. You may also need to press down on the drill depending on how hard the screw or bolt in question is. Honestly for really tough jobs each bit will do only a few jobs before wearing down, and you need these to be very sharp. But for the price you cant beat it so buy a few sets. This is the only set of screw / bolt extractors 99% of people on here will ever need to have on hand. And anyone who has had a stripped her bolt or screw will tell you these are a life saver. Just the other day I used them to remove stripped safety torx bolts from my break rotors. Best money I have ever spent for a tool, and I will always have fresh sharp ones on hand. I would advise you toss the bit after 3 screws max and replace them. The cost is nothing compared to the headache of a stripped screw.

I purchase this tool set to remove one way screws. The remover is okay, but you really have to put a lot of pressure force when removing one way screws. Especially if the screws are secured tightly, you will have to put a lot of force and balance yourself so that you will be able to remove the screws easy.

Horrible - Very brittle extractors

With a name like Black and Decker, you expect high quality. But, in this case, as was the case with another review listed for this product, the product was clearly not high quality. I was able to use the extractor safely to extract 3 screws, but on the fourth, because the screw was tougher to get out, I broke the small extractor. I then used subsequently larger extractors, and in the end I had broken 3 of the 4 extractors.
I had to continue to drill a bigger and bigger hole in the screw, and use the larger extractor tool. In all cases, I was not applying extraordinary force, simply using a T-handle to turn the extractor, and it broke (3 times).
I am returning this product for a refund. It is simply not usable in any challenging application.

Sub standard quality of Security bit set

The horrible quality of the SE 33 pc security bit set will definitely bring down the impeccable image of Amazon. The central security hole is not concentric with the outer profile in many of the bits. I have bought several hundred tools from Amazon, all of which have been perfect. This is the only case where the quality is extremely bad. This is to give advance info to buyers to refrain from buying this set. The defect can be seen clearly in the photos posted by me.
