This show is pretty much the definition of a guilty pleasure, and I'm guilty all right: half of the people I know mock me for watching this show and the other half have no idea I watch because I would die of shame if they found out. My sister constantly questions why I watch LB and I have fine-honed my reasons:

-- I went to an overly academically geared high school, so never had the chance to gossip about the in-crowd hijinks of "hooking up" and drunken antics. I missed out on my prime gossip years!

-- It's a chance to see how the other (wealthier) half live... and mock them.

-- Anthropologists have determined that 60% of human communication involves talking about other people; watching "Laguna Beach" proves how human I am.

-- It's a chance to sit back and watch attractive, overly wealthy and pampered teenagers make each other miserable by gossiping, back-stabbing and stealing each other's boyfriends and objects of affection. It's like the real-life version of "Mean Girls" only without Tina Fey writing their lines for them. Less wit, better clothes!

The show is lots of fun if you've got the twisted sensibility to enjoy it. And the second season is much, much better than the first season, with more cat fights, break-ups, tears and "hook-ups" than ever.

My only caveat: watching this on DVD is really the best way to watch, just downing episode after episode right after each other, but I don't know about the necessity of owning them -- who would want to re-watch these episode over and over again? I'm pretty much of the opinion that no reality show is a must-have on DVD, so definitely Netflix/rent over buying.

pretty fun to watch once, i don't know about repeat viewing, it's pretty interesting seeing how lauren transitioned from this show into who she was in "the hills", (that is, if you care about this meaningless stuff, guess i do)

I like to watch this TV series for one simple reason - try not to feel jealous about how material/pretty their life may look like, feel happy for the fact that all of them have to grow up and go through all the necessary phases in their life like the others with no exception.

Growing up takes time and i am sure today, these teenagers are no longer the same as yesterday!

Watching the Laguna Beach series is a guilty pleasure that I regretfully admit I enjoy. These kids have EVERYTHING.
They are pretty spoiled, but most of them have managed to
be decent people, despite their lush surroundings. It is fun to see them interact, with the gorgeous backdrop of sun and surf. It's a lifestyle that most of us will never know, and maybe that is part of why it is so fascinating. They take it so for granted. A new Beamer from Daddy for graduation. A quick trip to Cabo. Blowing a couple thou in a boutique with your besties. And the pedicures!
This series was made about 6 or 7 years ago, so it would be
interesting to see where these kids are now. We know where Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavalleri are, but the rest
are not really in the public eye. I wish they would do a followup special of "Where are they Now?" That would be a show I would watch!

This is the worst show in history. My wife buys this nonsense on this account. The only impressive thing about this show is how it found such a collection of mindless, shallow, and ridiculous group of people.

I've loved Laguna Beach since season one. And even though Kristin was hated by most I loved her for her honesty this season. LC is also a favorite of mine. This show reminds me of the days I would come home from school just to watch this show

My roommates and I always pick a few seasons of shows on tv to watch our first few weeks back at school, and we remembered the original Laguna Beach cast. Very funny and arrived quickly after ordering!

I am very pleased with having ordered this DVD. You're probably wondering how I'm going to tell you about it when it hasn't been released, yet. I already have it because MTV sent it three weeks before its release date to everyone who pre-ordered it.

The DVD has pretty cool bonus features like Deleted Scenes, Interviews, Casting Tapes, Photos, Childhood Home Videos, A Preview for Season 3 (which is different than the one shown on the season two finale; and a little different from the one viewable at [...] like 4 featurettes, a preview for "Virtual Laguna Beach" (You create a character and live in Laguna Beach; very much like the Sims, only Laguna Beach-ized. For expample, you have to try and get a date for senior prom), and a lot of other stuff.

Definetly worthy of my $25! I'd reccomend it for any Laguna Beach fan or any who can stomach watching a group of rich teenagers.
