easy upgrade

When I got the board I thought It was the wrong one. I was fussing around filling out the return form, when my granddaughter (10) looked at the old boards and said. "grandpa you have it upside down." Yep, I did, and the new board snapped right in. It is hell, getting old..
Be sure to use a static strap on your wrist to the computer.. The old mem boards would blow if you looked at them wrong. These new boards are pretty safe, but still better be safe than sorry...

My old Gateway NX570(Vista) is really humming now.. Firefox (I remember the Gofer browser) loads much faster.
A good test is the new Google Earth 6. The new ground level walk around mode will test your computer... GE works good with the new memory. But, while 1.5 gb is good,,, still could use another GB. Got to order another one.

Helping a slow lap top

I have a laptop that said it was a 1g 512mb computer. That meant up too. It only had one stick of RAM from the factory, but two slots. So I added this stick and improved it drastically. So don't believe labels also it is very easy to install these sticks they come with good directions. Took me 5 minutes including removing the panel door on the bottom of my computer and putting it back. The geek/computer help desk in some stores wanted $40,00 - $45.00 to put it in. So for a little over $20.00 including shipping I saved my computer. Note it doesn't correct Vista issues but then that got replaced quickly.

I have a Toshiba Satellite m105-s3041. This is the ram for the job. I ordered 2-2GB sticks. Put the 1st stick in the back, easy as pie, and what a difference. My laptop came with 512gb of ram and now with 2.5 it's great, way faster, not freezing, really nice. I'm going to take off the keyboard and insert the other 2gb stick in a few. Go with the Kingston, it's tested it's a name brand, you can't go wrong.

I bought 1GB of this RAM five months ago to upgrade my Acer Aspire One ZG5 netbook. 1GB is the maximum that would work in my laptop, or I would have gotten a bigger one. The RAM arrived in secure packaging in a timely manner. I installed it with no issues, and it's been running well for five months of occasional use. Overall I've found Kingston to be a dependable brand. I've upgraded the RAM in my own desktop, and a desktop at work and have had no problems. As far as I can tell, it's running very smoothly and speedily.

Extended the Ole girls life

I've had a laptop for over 4 yrs now......going on 5. The ole girl does it all, but slowly. I use her 24/7 for downloads. I do, on occasion browse the Web and watch some Videos. She got slow when i had 8+ tabs open on Firefox(when it was a memory hog..........firefox 4 I believe). Since the upgrade(from 1GB to 4GB) I feel like I'm on a new PC. She flies through Firefox with no trouble at all.

Money well spent.

Great product, works as expected/advertised. One caveat for Windows 32 bit systems - even though the hardware can handle 4GB, the software/operating system can only use 3 to 3.5GB so you don't actually get the full 4GB. Not a product defect but just an FYI.
