Float / maintenance function maintains batteries at proper storage voltage without the damaging effects caused by trickled chargers. This is the first 2 lead battery tender I’ve owned. I’ve been using a battery tender for almost 15 years now and can’t remember when I bought a new battery.
Your bike or car will never fully charge your battery no matter how far you drive.
Two or three times a year I’ll hook it up to my truck and charge the battery , might take 24 to 48 hours to fully recharge my F150’s battery and that battery is from 2016 well beyond its life expectancy.
Replacing a battery every 2 to 3 years at about 100 dollars a battery this thing will pay for its shelf.
If you don’t like your money then don’t want this.
