Product Description

JVCC FELT-06 Polyester Felt Tape is a 1mm thick synthetic needle punched felt made from polyester fibers. One side is felt, and the other side has adhesive. Commonly used for joining and temporarily repairing fabric, curtains and cloth drapes in backdrops. Felt material is also used for filtration applications, gaskets, wipers, and padding in a wide variety of industries. JVCC FELT-06 hides seams being photographed, and is used for applying a clean, dark edge to platforms, flats and portals. Can also be used to create matte borders or edges and to line display and jewelry cases. The dark brown is great for padding furniture on dark stained wood floors to prevent scratches.

Application Instructions

On many of the adhesive felt products the rolls will have an approximately 2 inch to 4 inch leader of double-sided film tape applied to the release liner before the felt material starts. We recommend you either cut a small piece of felt off at the beginning of the roll with a pair of scissors to start, or peel the double-sided film tape off of the release liner to use as a way to begin applying the felt (try not to pull the double-sided film tape off of the felt backing though). It is sometimes easier to try to peel the corner of the felt away from the release liner (instead of the release liner away from the felt) since you may end up splitting the release liner when you do it that way.

I used this tape to eliminate a few rattles in my car. The roll is huge - it'll last you a lifetime!

The felt is high quality, the tape is very sticky, and because it is so thin and flexible you can fit it almost anywhere. I found myself putting it on everything to everything! Only negative feedback is that because the tape is so sticky, the backing is a little hard to remove. If they put some extra paper on the edges it would help

I use this to keep my deer stand quiet by covering any areas where something hard could tap the metal. It works great. If you prep the surface first with rubbing alcohol it will stick well but can still be removed with a little effort. Doesn't seem to leave a residue.

This is essentially a lifetime supply of felt for my purposes. I'm using it to silence a few rattles in my vehicle, and it does the job perfectly. It can be kind of annoying to peel the paper away to expose the adhesive strip, but it's not enough of an annoyance to deduct a star.

When I bought my used Mazda Miata four years ago, the dash vents were loose. It's called "droopy eyeball syndrome", and results in the heat and/or cold air being directed downwards.

The vents aren't easy to get out of the Miata (in fact, I had to destroy one and buy a used replacement), but are easily reinstalled. I used 1/2" sections of this tape, which is sticky on one side, to replace the original felt. The eyeballs are still tight years later and 72' of felt tape left. I find it handy now and again.

Works well. It's very tricky to peel the felt off the backing. Once you get it started, it's no problem. Before putting the roll away, be sure to trim the felt shorter than the backing which will make it much easier to get it started the next time around.

I used this on the bottoms of an adult sized wooden rocking chair in order to protect the hard wood floors that that the chair rocks on. This stuff worked great. I had a very little trouble removing the paper backing - a razor made the job easy.

Initially... the tape stayed on, but after a few weeks it started to separate form the screen. It was simple to install and cuts well with a sharp blade.
I eventually hot glued the edges down and it functions well.

I recently built a new equipment stand for my home theater system. I designed it to be modular so it can be disassembled and reconfigured when necessary. All bottom edges of the risers/shelves needed to be felt protected to prevent scratching the finishes of the shelves below them.

This felt tape worked perfectly. Exactly fits the width of 3/4" plywood and protects very well. And there's a lot of it! Since my first project was completed, I've built a few more and I'm still working off the original roll I bought from Amazon. 75 feet is a lot of tape!

Installation tip: Cut a piece to the length you need. DON'T try to peel the felt off the paper while holding it in the air. INSTEAD, lay the strip paper-side down, on a hard flat surface. Using your fingermail, scrape at the felt on a corner and you'll get a release that you can grab onto and peel away.

I highly recommend this felt tape.
