What a GREAT product. I purchased 1 and then then a few days later i purchased 4 more. I installed them on the iPhone interface plug on all my cars and boats(Mercedes, BMW, etc.). Works perfectly and now all my cars and watercraft have wireless A2DP streaming audio form my iPhone. Works off the iPhone dock connector but in addition, also has connections allowing for direct connection to a headphone connector. When driving an aux input, the device can get power from USB or an iPhone connector yet still stream audio via the audio jack as well as teh iPhone interface. Some cars have an iPhoen plug but won't recoginze A2DP devices but do have an AUX plug in teh glove compartment or armrest. In that case, you can plug this device onto the iPhone connector for power and then stream teh music through the headphoen connector into the car's AUX connector. The perfect solution to a problme I was having on a new MB G63. Perfect solution!

To clear up any confusion: This is the Cerulean RX, the dockable Bluetooth receiver from iSkin. The Amazon title is funky for some reason, but this is it to be sure. If you have an iPod dock, and you want to play music wirelessly, this is probably your best bet--primarily because you do not have to externally power the Cerulean RX, and you aren't having to run an AUX cable from the RX to your sound system. The Cerulean RX does have that option though, which allows you ro use it in your car if you so desire. All the necessary cables are provided for that too.

The Cerulean RX has a good range compared to other Bluetooth receivers, and the sound quality is as much a limitation of Bluetooth as is the device itself. That must be noted--some may have unrealistic expectations where this is concerned. The Cerulean RX is no substitute for docking your Apple device directly into your sound system. It gives you a comparable advantage by setting your device free, and does that well.

All in all, recommended.

Excellent solution....I have an old Apple iPod Hi-Fi which is one of my favorite speakers to date. However, since devices have been updated I have been using a 3.5mm auxiliary cable to play music.... I quite honestly did not even realize that these types of adapters existed. Figured I would try it out and see if I could get bluetooth functionality for my speaker....voila.

A quick explanation: Your existing/old dock with a 30 pin connector had to be able to charge your phone...it is that charging ability that powers this bluetooth adapter. Once plugged in, you simply pair with your phone and you are up and running.

A quick note: There are a lot of bluetooth adapters out there which work well, but this particular one has no issues with older docks that had a 12 volt charge output....like my iPod hi-fi... Newer docks have a 5 volt output and newer adapters work fine with those types of docks....the iSkin actually has no issue with 12 volts and works perfectly.

Audio quality - lets take this for what its worth, you are streaming audio wirelessly via bluetooth...it sounds great for what it does...do not try to do audiophile testing and the such. :)

This is being used with an iPhone 4S and iPod dock. The range is incredible. We live in an older house with thick walls and are able to go all around the house without losing connection. Sound is clear without static. Versatility with stereo miniplug and RCA jacks is another plus.

A few years back I had an iPod Classic, so I had a local car audio shop put an iPod connector cable into my car, wired to the sound system. When I ditched my iPod in favor of an Android phone, I needed Bluetooth in the car, and this turned out to be the perfect solution: I attached it to the iPod cable and tucked it away out of sight.

The device powers on when I start my car. I connect using the Android Bluetooth menu, and I'm set to go!

Grreat item. It's packaged very nicely and the instructions and everything else are first rate. The only problem is that I bought this for my 2012 Honda CRZ and it simply doesn't work in that car.

Inside the house I have two iPhone/iPod docking stations. It works 100% perfect with both of them. But I also have BlueTooth at home so I don't really need it in the house.

Where I wanted to use it is in my car. In the Honda you can't stream music to the stereo via BlueTooth but it does have a 30-pin iPod connector. I'm tired of plugging in my phone each time and in my last car I could just leave the phone in my pocket and have it stream music wirelessly. So the plan was to use this which plugs over the 30-pin iPod connector and then stream the music to this which would deliver it to the stereo. It didn't work - this worked fine and I could connect/link to my phone. It's the stupid car stereo system that wouldn't recognize that this device was attached.

I still have it 5-stars. It works great in the house but unfortunately I don't need it there. It's some quirk in the Honda car stereo that prevents this from working.

My Amazon purchase was actually my second one so I think the product is good with some caveats:
- Blinking led is super annoying if this is used in a dark room. I appreciate the indicator but it doesn't have to be bright enough to turn my bedroom into a nightclub.
-With a Bose dock it works great
-In my car the iPod input is only available if it detects an iPod is connected, this device does not do the trick. I need to connect an actual iPod, select the input, remove the iPod, then connect this device and all is good until I swap to another input (e.g. radio) and the whole process has to be repeated. In all fairness the factory radio in my 4Runner is quirky in general.
-In the dock that came with my Sony home theater system it connects fine but the volume has to be 100% to make it barely loud enough to hear making that application useless.

My real issue is support which is non-existent. I've sent a few emails to their support group over the span of 6 months. I got the typical auto-reply that my email was received but nothing else. Ever. In my experience they have ZERO support other than what you see online so if you have questions you are out of luck.
