Product Description

Frontier Organic Beet Powder is made from the red, fleshy root portion of the beet plant after the root hairs and green tops have been removed. One pound of beet powder re-hydrated is approximately equal to 9 pounds of fresh, unprepared beets. Beet powder is popular in traditional Flemish and Slav cooking, but also works well for adding color, flavor and a nutrient boost to a variety of domestic fare. Our organic bulk beet powder is kosher certified and non-irradiated. DIRECTIONS: Use approximately 1/3 cup water to re-hydrate 2 tablespoons of product. Hot or boiling water rehydrates instantly.

It arrived to my home busted open & Beet Powder all over my other items which I took pictures of & that I put in the picture area for this product. Whom ever packed this balled the bag up & stuffed it in the right corner of the box of course with no protection at all. No I have not tried it yet, but I can't stand when sellers take for-granted there customers by giving horrible shipping service & I spend a great deal of money every month at Amazon & if they keep on the way that they are going , then they are going to see me take my business elsewhere like iherb & the many more & I think Amazon shipped this package because all of my other items from other sellers were all in this one box. They are already taking all the prime items off of prime shipping dang near & this you have to spend $25.00 or more to get our prime shipping that we already payed for is enough, but now the careless shipping & my prime membership is due next month for renewing, but if they keep on doing like they are doing then I will be spending my money at another site that appreciates my money instead of starting to get big headed. Go look at the disgusting mess that they left for me in my box.Update 11-4-2013: Amazon keeps deleting my photo's apparently trying to hide the evidence that they shipped my product horribly & I am about to call them because they have censored my post before & they are PG, so why would they censor only bad reviews & never my good reviews. This stuff is amazing. I researched how good beets are for you and decided to try this. It is so hard to keep fresh vegetables around all year because if if is not that vegetable's season, they may not be as fresh and they may cost a fortune. Enter this Organic beet powder. It is there, always fresh, and so easy to use. You can add it to soups, sauces, and your smoothies. My daughter especially likes to add it to her smoothie. Her favorite is to blend apples, blueberries, and then a level tablespoon of the beet powder. The beet powder has a subtle sweet taste but if you add too much you might find it gritty. We like it just at 1 tablespoon. This is a really great product.

I'm a 63 year old male who just got sick and tired of juicing raw beets for their juice. The juicer was great but what a mess and the time it took to do it. The kinesiologist told me to drink "beet juice" for my feet which started getting numb about a year ago. I'm 6'1" and I don't mess with doctors. The natural way is always the best way.
I read the reviews and really liked how easily this beet powder just dissolves in my vitalized turbo water in the mornings. This is good! I was surprised that in addition to energy, beets work as a mood enhancer. Regarding mixability, it's true that it's quite chunky and not easy to stir. However, I found that if I add a piece of ice to it, it mixes really well. Also, ice masks the beets taste, which is not a great taste but acceptable.

Beef buillion, caraway seeds, beet powder, onions, garlic, rice, carrot powder(a pinch), sour cream powder. Mix it all together in whatever proportions you like and cook it as usual in the pot. It took a little getting used to the taste and consistency, but now I actually enjoy drinking this. This is my use -- mix one TBL in half a cup of boiling water. Sometimes I add a slice of lemon. Before adding the hot water, I make sure the beet powder has no lumps in it by stirring a fork around in the cup. I do not drink smoothies, so that is why I drink it like this. The taste is mildly sweet. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have not noticed all the health side affects. But when I am done with this bag, I will be buying more!

If you like beet juice, drinking this should not be a problem. It tastes like beet juice with some fine earth added in. I notice the fine grit but I just drink it down and maybe a sip of water after. My main reason for this purchase was blood pressure. I take medication but have reduced the amount plus it keeps it low longer. I take 1 tablespoon in the morning and it kicks in through the afternoon & evening. I've been checking my pressure every day until I am positive what my routine should be. I would not have done this without a good BP monitor, Omron BP 785N. I have not consulted with my doctor as yet but will and so should you if this is your intention. He gives me leeway since we have discussed this several times over the years. It does help and takes about three hours to kick in. Should anything change I will update.
