Love the show, love the ability to purchase and stream the seasons you have. When can we expect the rest of the series available for purchase so we can stream it? Netflix just cut their streaming options for this show to Seasons 1-8. I've bought Seasons 16-19 here and would LOVE to at least have the opportunity to do the same for the rest ... what's our ETA?

Dennis Farina isn't one of the best detectives on this long series (20 years), but his role in Season 16 is very powerful, as he goes over the line time and again. In one episode, he does the equivalent of waterboarding by dunking a suspect's head into a toilet to find a kidnapped girl. However, his relationship with Jesse Martin doesn't come up to much. The earliest detective pairs, like Chris Noth and George Dzundza, were much better. Sam Waterston, as a hard-charging A.D.A., puts in a good show, especially in morally ambiguous episodes, such as one in which a mother kills her son. There's no question that the death of her son was a good thing for the city at large, but he proves there was a baser factor at play to get a conviction. Fred Thompson plays the D.A. and I just don't like him, neither his character nor his acting. But, as always, the casting is very well done and the writing is tight, with surprise twists. Some endings leave the viewer frustrated, which is what the actual legal system often does. Special effects are almost non-existent, and people who dote on high tech shows like CSI may feel deprived, but these are terrific programs with a social conscience.

Some of the best Law and Order episodes, with Dennis Farina in this season. He is one of the 'better' detectives in the series. There are a generous number of episodes in this season, making online purchase worthwhile.

Sometimes the story lines of Law and Order becomes too familiar and boring but in Season 16 the series has recharged itself. Dennis Farina is a welcome addition to the Law and Order regulars. Unfortunately I haven't seen season 15 yet when he first started.

I love the show, and how it depicts what can happen if the prosecutor is dead set on sending someone to prison, whether or not the crime was a justified homicide. One episode recently showed a woman who killed her son because he was so mentally ill and violent that she knew he would kill someone if she didn't stop him. The wheels of justice were not weighed in her favor and the jury sent her to jail. Why? Because the prosecutor showed that she did it, not only to save humanity, but to save her marriage to the young man's stepfather and their two children. So, because there was a "selfish" reason, she lost the sympathy of the jurors. I wonder whether the verdict would have been the same if the Lanza kid from Sandy Hook had been shot by his mother before he killed all the childrent at that school. Probably so.

This series shows imagination in the types of cases it comes up with. I've seen lower ratings posted for the later episodes of the series, but I think the whole series was consistently good from beginning to end, personally. I think you should wait a little longer to ask for a rating of an entire season after its purchase, because no one is going to watch the entire season in 3 days.

Law and Order has been on for almost 20 seasons because it is great. I can't remember any episode I thought was less than really good. I would love to own the entire series and perhaps someday I will.

Please, some one tell which session did Green get shot? It was the season that Green and Fontana were together. But some one who apparently knows Jesse Green shoots Green; In a later session, we find out some one was hired to kill Green; I've watched them all at least once, but can't
recall or find the Season that contains Fontana (chief detective?) and Green as number two detective.

Also, it was never explained where Fontana got all his money---great clothes and drives a Mercedes. Anyone know about that>

Thank you for help. Please contact me; email strickenchicken

When did J. Green get shot? What Season and which epizode?
Where did Fontana get all his money---clothes and Mercedes.

I've watched all the seasons at least once and have become addicted to the series. I thought each episode would some how continue or explain what happened in the previous episode. I'ts confusing sometimes for me. Confusing or not. I loved them all.

Please advise;
