I have really enjoyed all the seasons of this CSI break off. It has become a total unique show in and of itself. Each year, the science becomes more amazing, the characters so unique and believable, and the episodes still "edge-of-your-seat"-ers. The relationship between the characters is continually developing and interesting. Gary Sinise is so soft-spoken, yet tough, and encourages a comfortable relationship among the cast. I have watched many various CSI dramas, and this one is still staying fresh and exciting.

CSI New York: The Fourth Season is my favorite show except for the writers strike that made only 21 episodes this year but, it is sill the best season of all.

Seriously, this 6-disc set comes packaged in the worst multi-disc design package I've ever seen! I would bet that it is impossible to get 6 discs that are not scratched. My package arrived and all 6 discs were loose in the package, with broken plastic "fingers" that are supposed to hold them broken off and rattling around in the case with the loose discs. A child could design something more capable of protecting the discs than this design flunkie did. CBS should be ashamed of themselves for selling such pure crap as this package.

Is it really too much to ask for 3 double-disc cases in a box? Why do they waste money paying some clown to design a case more ridiculous than any you've seen before?

If Seasons 1-3 were all about giving NY its own distinctive flavor, then Season 4 is CSI NY's effort at the Miami style of storytelling. There's something almost artistic rather than gritty about the storytelling. That's not a criticism mind you, just an observation. You will see the eventually breakdown of the team's 'live wire' or 'lost soul' in Danny Messer but at the same time you can't help but want Danny & Lindsay to grow up. To finally mature and realize what they have. Every CSI franchise has one: in Las Vegas, it was Warrick with his gambling addiction, in Miami it's Delko seemingly forever on edge with a new girl for every day and night. The difference between the three is that Danny has Lindsay who grounds him and Delko has Calleigh, Warrick never has such a saving grace. All that being said, there's nothing bad to be said about Season 4 of CSI NY but I am hoping it finds its voice and gets steady instead of mimicking Miami because with all due respect, Mac Taylor and the gang are better off when the writers are not trying to emulate the poetic excellence that is Horatio Caine's watch.

From the very first episode, I was hooked. I love puzzles and this is a series of puzzles. With the 'Who, What, Why & How' Evenly matched with real life by showing the bad side of people contributing in society to the good side of contributions. Though many times I may solve the puzzle before the episode is done, a good many twists are added to peak my pleasure. I love all the actors for doing so well ensuring their characters are so close to 'down-to-earth real people'.

Another decent season of the CSI:NY series, with some engaging story arcs involving the "333" character and the "taxi" killer. The characters are very well established and convincing and it's nice to see the series in polished form, a credit to Gary Sinise as producer. I will say that the gore factor seemed a tad stronger this season, including cringe-worthy sequences such as Mac digging into a chest cavity. I don't remember this strong of gore as much from the other CSI programs in the franchise - maybe it's just the nature of crime in NYC is generally more grizzly.
Only fault of this season was the extravagantly silly "Second Life" episode, which was goofy beyond measure. I mean, it's worth watching just for the sheer ridiculousness, but this was definitely the season's weakest point.

The DVD's were top quality and the show is great I gave it four stars because it can get a little far fetched at times and not because of the condition of the disks or packaging which like I stated was in excelent condition and the shipping was fast and right on.

It has an excellent cast of very good actors, Gary Sinise at the top of the list. I noticed that the lone detective, who accompanies the CSI squad to each scene, had a very poor role written for him; but the writers started to increasing his participation in the episodes. I hope they will continue to do so.
