This Moss is a Must

I bought this moss for my juvenile Leopard Gecko, Gallagher, to put in his little humid hide box. I used to use coconut substrate; which is uncomfortable to handle and doesn't hold moisture very well but it was all I knew of to use. After discovering this I won't use any other substrate for him. Sphagnum moss is so darn soft to touch/handle, holds moisture incredibly well, and a little goes a long way. I bought one package of this months ago and still have it for him. It isn't as too messy and is very easy to clean up after. The moss doesn't have that dirt odor like in the coconut substrate, and it's smell is very mild. A super great aspect is that it doesn't get moldy, or decompose. I can keep the same moss for AWHILE in his hide, the only reason I will change it is if he soils it (which I have not seen him do), or just to keep things fresh.

Very soft
Holds moisture/humidity!
Smell isn't overwhelming
Doesn't get moldy/rotten
Easy to clean up

CONS:
None I know of

Very pleased with this moss. It's literally perfect for my little Gallywag, and I recommend to anyone who needs a moisture/humidity holding substrate.

Nice economy size. The same stuff they sell in the smaller green boxes. I soak some in water for a little while, then squeeze the water out before adding to my viv. It helps tremendously with keeping the higher humidity for my crested gecko.

This moss holds a lot of moisture, does not mold at all, is easy to clean, and helps raise the humidity of your tank. I use this moss partly as a substrate, but mostly in a bowl and a shed box. This works wonders if you have a reptile that enjoys humidity, and i highly recommend it.

Perfect for humid hides!

This was way cheaper on amazon than at our local pet stores or petsmart. I'm glad we bought this as it's great for humid hides. Our rainbow boa goes burrowing in this moss when she's getting close to shed. It stays damp and holds lots of moisture and doesn't go bad too fast. The compressed brick has a lot of moss in it as well for the price you pay. I'll definitely be buying this again when I need it!

My favorite moss for tropical terriarums.

I regularly purchase this product to use as substrate for my tropical terrarium for 2 Chinese Water Dragons. The moss is dried and compressed in the bag and, when fully expanded, you get a deceptively large amount of moss for the price. Holds moisture well for regulating terrarium humidity levels or soaking up excess/splashed water. Its also very resistant to mold. And for semi-aquatic animals, the structure of the moss doesn't stick to wet reptile skin (like cocounut husk substrate inevitably will). Very ideal for this type of terrarium setup and animal.
