My favorite cocoa. All the so called "gourmet" cocoas have high sugar contents and aren't nearly as good. I mail order this because "gourmet" cocoas like Stephens have displaced this in my local stores. They must give the stores a higher profit margin because they aren't nearly as good

Hot chocolate tips

If you like sweet hot chocolate then this is great. More flavor than what you get in the grocery store. And much better price, since in our stores it isn't possible to get hot chocolate that isn't in pre-measured pouches. This way you can make it as strong as you like. Is much better if made with milk rather than water. If you are a more serious chocoholic try the Godiva dark chocolate mix. If you are somewhere in between you can combine them. Amazon carries the Godiva as well.

I like a good hot chocolate once and a while and enjoy a bit of chocolate in my coffee. I found a review of Cocoa products at Huff Po, which rated this in the top three out of 15 or so which was blind tested. After shopping around, Amazon's price on this three pounder was just a bit more than a one pounder was at the local market; no brainer! If you really want the good deal on this product, and use a whole lot of it, they have 25lb commercial boxes available a very good price-per pound.

Delicious cocoa. Best cocoa I've ever made at home... maybe the best I've ever had period. It's good with milk or coconut milk (probably any milk). And I have to say I'm guilty, guilty, guilty of making the brownie recipe on the back dozens of times. So easy and so delicious. I finally gave up on buying the cans, and moved on to buying the 10-pound box.... and I'm well past my first box. But if you do move onto the box, make sure you keep a can... the can is easier storage for everyday use and there are no recipes on the box (and you don't want to lose that brownie recipe).

Zero complaints. I got tired of purchasing those smaller bags of Ghirardelli hot chocolate. The stuff I normally get is the "double chocolate" hot chocolate. I was looking on Amazon to see if they made something bigger than the smaller package I usually get, because I go through it quickly and it's not a very good deal. I then saw this. I was concerned because it wasn't the usual stuff I get, however it does say Ghirardelli... and it does say cocoa... so I figured what the hell why not try it. Even if it isn't as good, I'm sure it's still good, right? Well I was right. It is basically the same thing. I can't tell any noticeable difference between this and the "double chocolate" hot chocolate they sell. Oh and did I mention it's the best damn hot chocolate you can get? Seriously, I've tried it all. Including the terribly over-rated Starbucks hot chocolate (which by the way, is literally disgusting). This stuff is plenty sweet, but not too sweet, and the chocolate tastes just right. Definitely no need to add sugar like I did with, say, the Starbucks kind. This stuff mixes pretty well into the hot milk too. I usually put some milk in a cup, microwave it to get it warm (about 1:30 in case you were wondering - don't wanna get it boiling), then eyeball a couple teaspoons of this stuff. It says you should use 3 tablespoons per 8oz of milk but that is way too much and you don't need that much. I have a giant 20oz mug that I love using, and I use 3 heaping teaspoons of this stuff and that is more than enough. I could probably get away with just 2. Anyway, like I was saying, it mixes pretty well. Sometimes you get some hot chocolate that you make with milk and it doesn't really mix very well in with the milk. I haven't really had this problem. It does take a minute to stir up completely, but there aren't any chunks of hot chocolate at the bottom of the cup. Also, the date on this stuff is good. I bought mine in the middle of November 2015 and the date on it says March 2017.

ATTN WHITE MOCHA LOVERS: BUY THIS

I've been searching for the perfect white chocolate to add to my white mochas for about a year now. Now my search has ended.

NUTSHELL REVIEW
- no after taste
- great whit chocolate flavor (like the coffee shops)
- lovely aroma
- easy storage
- long shelf life compared to sauce
- large container

GHIRARDELLI YOU DA BEST! I'm extremely picky with the white chocolate I use, but this chocolate tastes amazing in hot drinks and it doesn't leave an after tast like most sauces do. Two tablespoons of powder adds plenty of rich flavor to my coffee and I can't wait for it to get cold so I can make hot drinks all the time. Additionally, I don't have to worry about this stuff spoiling quickly or getting moldy (yes, the sauces that I bought in the past did both of these things).

HOORAY FOR GOOD INVESTMENTS!

Want to make hot mocha? This is the way! This chocolate stirs right in. Yes it is a large container, but you know you'll eventually use it all. It is so delicious you'll want to make every coffee a mocha. Of course you can use it for baking, too.

Previously, this was a 5-Star product in every way, and I reviewed it as such. HOWEVER, in the last few months, The Coffee Shop Seller muddled down the formula to fluff and a little cocoa. It barely tastes like chocolate. I no longer recommend this product, unless and until, this provider returns this product to it's original formula, that was delicious. I used to buy about two cans a month, and looked forward to my smooth cup at the end of the day. No longer. I will not buy this product ever again until I have two few containers of the old formula shipped to me and a promise that they won't ever do anything to this formula but improve upon it, not dumb it down like a bunch of Philistines.
