    After breaking up at the end of the 90's, Candlebox surprised many by reuniting in 2006 and doing a full tour. I was lucky to see them for this reunion tour and it seemed likely that the reunion would produce new material.Two years later the band released, "Into The Sun". For the last 5 years I've had the intention of picking up this album, only to discover it was impossible to find in retail stores. Thanks to Amazon I finally acquired the album and found that it immediately made me feel like it was 1993 again instead of 2013! I was always a bit disappointed with Candlebox's 2nd release, "Lucy", feeling that it didn't have the energy of their debut album. "Into The Sun" feels like it should have been their sophomore release. The band seems to have recaptured the energy and enthusiasm for their art once again. Maybe the long hiatus the band took helped them refocus(?) Every song comes across with conviction. After listening to the album for the second time through, I felt like it had already begun to sink into my brain like many of my favorite albums have done in years past. Longtime Candlebox fans and 90's junkies shouldn't think twice about adding this one to their collection.

    Into The Sun truly is one of there best CD's. Every song is very good. You will not find yourself skipping over tracks. But you will find yourself playing it over and over. I should of bought this one along time ago.

    Majority of the tunes are "ALMOST" mid-tempo. There is a few fast rippin' tunes, but I expected more from this band, especially since this is their first disc in x-amount of years. However, as slow-tempo as the most of the songs are, they are still decent. Nothing mind-blowing, but not fillers.

    Auch wenn der Sound nicht mehr ganz so kraftvoll und heavy rüberkommt wie vor 15 Jahren, so zeigt Candlebox das Sie noch lange nicht langweilig geworden sind. Der Sound ist gut abgemischt, die Lieder 1 und 2 kommen sehr kraftvoll rüber ( guter Bass ). Tiefgängige Balladen ( wie man es von Ihnen gewohnt ist ) wechseln ab mit kraftvollen Rocknummern. Alles in allem ein Super - Album , obwohl Ich 3 mal reinhören mußte um so richtig gefallen daran zu finden

    was a bit uneventfull for me, and i guess it still is but after a few plays in the backround the sentiment in some of the songs hooked me and some of the subtleties came through. A brilliant album.

    If you like this try kevin martins solo album (kevin martin and the high watts) its a lot more lively but in the same vein as this, sentiment wise. buy them both! lol

    Candlebox ist wieder da. Kevin Martin hat es mit seinen Mitstreitern geschafft nahtlos an die drei Vorgängeralben anzuschließen und ein wunderbares und reifes Album eingespielt. Da sie in der Zeit des Grunge ihre ersten Erfolge feierten, erwarten wohl einige eine Retro - nochmal - versuchen ob wir Erfolg haben - Nummer. Weit gefehlt Die Musik ist zeitlos und wird mich auch in 20 Jahren noch erfreuen.
    Gleichzeitig erschienen ist auch ein Livemitschnitt aus dem Jahr 06. Hier gibt es eine gute Auswahl aus den ersten drei Alben und den Beweis wie gut diese Musik ist.
    Wer gute Rockmusik mag und Qualität in der Produktion auch nicht verschmäht sollte hier zugreifen.
