Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The most important job for these is to clearly mark all lines regardless of insulation color point of use at the box or outlet and along the run it’s best to avoid mixing up exactly where they belong
I bought this electrical tape because I was working on some light fixtures that I bought. I purchased 4 fluorescent shop lights from Lowe's and then bought LED replacement bulbs (which came with tombstones) to use instead of regular fluorescent bulbs. In order to switch from fluorescent bulbs to LED, you have to open the fixture and remove the part called a ballast. Basically it is the heavy brick with all the wires running through it that jump starts the fluorescent bulbs. LED bulbs do not need this and are wired directly.
I removed the ballast, cutting wires as needed and pulling the ones from the power cord out of the ballast so I didn't have to strip the wires. Took the new tombstones which came with color coded wires and attached them. Then I stuck them all together using appropriate connections with twist on wire caps and this tape. The multiple colors of tape is handy if you want to make it really easy to identify the connections you are making. I used the white for the white wires, the red for the black ones, and the green to bind and hold all the extra length of wire together so that it wouldn't pop out as I was putting the cover to the fixture back on. Tape did exactly what it is supposed to do and I have no complaints at all.
One note I would make to those who are not very savvy on measurements, is that this tape is only 1/2" wide. The electrical tape you usually find in stores is 3/4" wide, a little wider and easier to use in some instances. This did not matter to me, and did not in any way hinder me in completing the wiring I was doing, but it may matter to some folks. If that doesn't bother you, and you want electrical tape in multiple easy to identify colors, then buy this nice little kit and rest assured that it will get the job done.
I received the first package of this tape with the white tape coming off the cardboard tube. Either the tape was miss-wound, or there was some kind of heat damage which caused the tape to slump off of the cardboard roll. The replacement package I received had the same type of damage, except not as severe, so I kept it rather than going through the return process.

This tape is the real deal. 3M/Scotch brand makes the best tape of any kind. No surprises with the packaging and it’s easy to peel from the roll. This stuff is great for color coding interconnect cables for my analog stereo system. It can also, of course, be used for its intended purpose as electrical tape.
Purchased mainly to use the white to cover a black connection on a wire used to hang a spinner on porch. So far it’s working fine. Makes the hanger less visible as desired and still adhering. I’m sure I will come up with some other off-label uses for the other colors.
Excelente cinta, yo no la uso para electricidad, la uso para sellar frascos de químicos y me sirve bastante porque es flexible y se puede volver a utilizar.
Needed some tape to write labels on my parts organiser. Regular 3/4" electrical tape would have been too thick. In addition with writing on them with a Sharpie, I can colour code my drawers....yellow for plumbing, white for electrical, red for fasteners, green, well I can't use green for labels!!
Not sure why people leave bad reviews complaining these are not 3/4" rolls. It says so right on the packaging if you take the time to zoom in on the picture.
