Doesn't work, even at 1/3rd the specified bandwidth.

This cable is advertised for 21.6 Gbps. I tried it first at 4k and 30 Hz which only requires 6.18 Gbps. I get a lot of flicker and a lot of desyncs. I then tried it at 60 Hz that requires 12.54 Ghz which is why I purchased the cable in the first place. All I get is a blank screen, it can't even sync up at all. I tried two cables, and I tried to reverse the cable so that the opposite ends were plugged in case of bad ground termination. There was no way I could get the cable to work at 60 Hz which is well within the advertised specification.

I'll be returning the 3 cables I got as soon at Amazon's return form works for me.

AVOID AT ALL COST!

DO NOT, under ANY circumstances, buy these Active Displayport cables. I purchased six for two separate systems; both running Nvidia Surround with monitors far away from the computers.

One system #1, my Dell 27 S2716DG 1440p G-Sync 144Hz monitors would not allow me to get anywhere near the 144Hz refresh rate using these cables. One monitor only showed a max of 24Hz while the other two only allowed 85Hz max. I ultimately purchased passive 15ft GearIT cables and they have been rock solid allowing full 144Hz on each monitor.

However, as bad as that experience was, even worse was on my second system. I run a Maximus IX Code i7-4770k with 32GB ram and an EVGA 1080ti Founders Edition card. For one whole MONTH, I could not figure out why my brand-new system was locking up at the BIOS screen, or locking up *in* BIOS or randomly rebooting while in BIOS. Once, in Windows 10 (which I could only reach 30% of the time on first boot attempt), everything ran great. I tried everything to find the problem but nothing worked. Until I realized that the problem started around the time of my new StarTech 30ft Active Cable install (actually goes into my walls so swapping is NOT a no-brainer). Once I swapped out the cables for the ones mentioned above, ALL freezing and boot problems disappeared. I've been building my own PC's for 30 years now and I have NEVER had a monitor cable cause boot and freeze issues. It was a nightmare.

AVOID AT ALL COST!

The listing for the DISPL10MA mentions 4K support, but on our website the maximum resolution listed is 2560x1600 @60Hz. We're working to get the Amazon page updated to reflect this as soon as possible, as 2560x1440 @144Hz and 4K @60Hz would require more bandwidth than the cable is capable of.

I bought a bunch of 10ft DisplayPort cables to see which ones worked well. This one fails to display 1440p @ 60hz correctly, caused flickering constantly... What a joke. My Accell cable works great at 1440p@165hz. And a cable matters, an even cheaper cable, has replaced this one with no issues.

Somehow the 3ft version isn't certified? I was hoping it was a mislabel. Bought this wire because the one that came with my ASUS monitor seemed like it has problems where when I turn on the monitor from the power button windows reconfigures everything for no reason. Everyone told me it was a wire. Don't know if this one is faulty too, but whatever, returning it. One star because somehow the 3ft version is not certified even though 6 and 10 are.

There is a lot of confusion regarding display port cables and what to select for your purpose. Prior to purchasing, I contacted Star Tech for clarification on a 15ft version of this cable and whether it would work at 1080p at 144hz for a gaming monitor and got this response - "The DISPLPORT15L 15ft DisplayPort cable is certainly compliant with DisplayPort 1.2 HBR2 specifications with bandwidth up to 21.6Gbps. I do not suspect there will be any issues with running the DISPLPORT15L with a 1920x1080 monitor at 144Hz. The bandwidth required will be well below the 21.6Gbps of which the cable is capable. There will be no flicker with a 1920x1080@144Hz display due to the DISPLPORT15L." After receiving the cable, I have found that the cable works flawlessly with no flicker or drop off while gaming at the highest settings. I am very satisfied with this cable for my purposes and if you are looking at similar specs, then I would suggest this cable over the other brands currently available, as this is the only one I could locate after several hours of scanning forums, that is capable of 21.6Gbps.

I don't know if this cable is faulty or if my problems were because the length was more than 3 feet, but it does not send enough bandwidth through the entire 6 feet of cable to get a proper signal to my monitor. My monitor would blink off and come back on 6- 10 times a day. I switched to a 3 foot cable given to me by the manufacturer of the monitor and have not had one single instance of the monitor shutting off.
