Product Description
Briwax is a solvent based blend of beeswax and carnauba wax. Briwax has long been recognized by furniture restoration professionals as a premiere, multi-purpose furniture wax. It produces a lustrous patina, not a glossy surface shine. It is suitable for use as a finish on new wood or stripped furniture, a reconditioner for old or damaged finishes, a furniture wax for fine furniture and antiques or an antiquing agent where the desire is to "age" a newly painted carving or project. Tinted waxes can be lightened or removed with the clear wax. 1 Pound.

Almost forgot. The price is painful. I mean why does it have to be so high? It didn't always cost this much. But if you are the best then throwing it under "life cycle cost" is worth it in the end. But I don't have to like it.
I used about 3/4 of the can for a 72" X 33" table, including the fairly intricate table base.
I haven't experienced it turning white in crevases or when it gets wet whatsoever, and we eat dinner with our 2 year old daughter every night on the table. In fact, she spilled water all over the table last night and it just beaded up and wiped off with zero problems. I will definitely be using this wax for other furniture projects in the future.
But on the downside you need to apply it in a well ventilated area. I don't just mean a room open to another room, or even a room with an open window. I mean a room with a fan that vents to outside or actually being outside. Stick a box fan in the window. If you don't vent properly the toluene solvent that keeps the wax soft until after you apply it will make you ill. Short term you can expect a headache and maybe a burn in your throat. Higher exposure by applying a lot in a very small room could be even more serious. Long term damage includes neurological disorders. Luckily the stuff evaporates quickly and so you don't have any long term exposure issues.
