Not bad for a cheap battery.

It's hard to know what you're going to get when you buy a replacement battery pack online. This particular battery (made in China, shipped from Illinois by ATC LLC) was recognized by my Thinkpad Z60t Power Manager as a Sony OEM product.

The original Lenovo Z60t battery pack came in two versions, a 4-cell model with a design capacity of 37.44 watt/hrs and a 7-cell model with a design capacity of 65.52 watt/hrs. This replacement battery has the larger 7-cell form factor, but the Power Manager shows its design capacity at 48.84 watt/hrs. After running the new battery through three conditioning cycles, as described in the instructions, the Power Manager showed a full charge capacity of 42.60. So, it looks like we're getting the equivalent power of about 5 cells.

The new battery delivers about two hours of service. That's less than the three hours I would expect from the original 7-cell Lenovo battery pack. On the other hand, I a got a product that works with my computer for about 20 bucks, and that's not bad.

ATC shipped fast, so I'd recommend them if you need something right away.

New mobility for laptop

Got this when original battery only giving about an hour of charge. This gives about two when running light tasks or and hour and a half in presentation mode. Have not had any issues. Power Manager sees it as an OEM Sony battery and gives full diagnostic information such as cycle count, current temperature, remaining power in terms of Watts.

Battery does not hold charge

The battery worked for 5 days to full capacity and now won't hold a charge at all past 1 %.
I would like to exchange it for one that actually works or get a full refund please.

Yes, you can replace OEM to this one.

however, Lenovo power management will give you warning message about the battery.

the battery is not genuine and have to buy from Lenovo.

I just ignorerd warning message, and still working fine.

Does not work with my IBM Thinkpad Z60t at all. Power management recognition of battery charge level is intermittantly working or not, but mostly not. Yesterday when running on battery, the Thinkpad would shut down thinking battery discharged, when in fact it wasn't. I'm wondering if the connectors are not making good connection but can't seem to get the problems fixed no matter how hard I push or pound the battery into the socket for it.

problems with Thinkpad Z61t

Does not work with Lenovo ThinkPad Z61t. Battery fits OK, and power management software recognizes it as a non-original Lenovo part. The battery does NOT hold charge.

Have contacted vendor via Amazon.com website and am getting them to replace the unit.
