If you're looking at this review, you probably read my review for season 1. again, i love this show...it's great for adults and children. but amazon could have done a better job on the quality of the encodes along with making sure the episodes are in the proper order.

QUEEN OF THE SHADOWKAHN should be the fourth show of this season. in it, shendu mentions to valmont that a change in wardrobe is needed
AND HE DOES HIS OWN STUNTS should then follow queen of the shadowkahn. this episode is where we first see valmont trying on a new wardrobe (a sorcerer's robe which valmont calls a dress).
by default, this would make RUMBLE IN THE BIG HOUSE episode six of this season which makes sense since valmont is already wearing said robe.

another thing about this season. The first 13 episodes all following a continuing story about the demon sorcerers so make sure to watch these in order. however, episodes 14-36 (not counting the last three episodes which should be watched during season 1) all seem to be random episodes created solely for the fun of the show. none of these shows really tie in together. they are all more or less random adventures. it seems you can watch these in any order.

I grew up watching this show and had a large number of favorite episodes. This season contains all of my favorites, and they are my favorites due to their creativity with the elements of the first season while being accessible to first-time viewers of the show. (I started watching the show during season 2 and thereby fell in love with the show.) Enjoy!

I'll Be a Monkey's Puppet - In Chinese mythology, the Monkey King was a mischievous but benevolent character who genuinely cared for the welfare of his subjects. Here, he is far, far, far more mischievous than benevolent - and a heck of a lot more annoying, even more so than Jade could be in some of the episodes. You can't help but feel bad for Jackie and really root for him here.

Enter the Cat - Valmont as a cat... what more could a girl ask for? Granted, this episode could have been written better in some parts, I found this episode rushed and it could have been a two-parter, this is still a fun episode especially if you're a Valmont fan. MEOW!

The Good, the Bad, the Blind, the Deaf, and the Mute - This was the final episode to be aired originally for Season 2, and what a disappointing episode. This episode had a lot of potential with the blind deaf and mute curse - Jackie, Jade, and Tohru are rendered mute, deaf, and blind respectively,\ Tohru does well with his disability, but Jade is so danged annoying! Seriously I wanted to slap her around, instead of finding a way to deal with her disability like Jackie and Tohru, she just used it as an excuse to become even more loud and annoying, which dragged down the episode.

One of the better episodes of the series and season, this shows the possible effects of the Rabbit Talisman (the effects are ala 'Back to the Future') and Jade finds herself back in 1976, 25 years in the past where she meets young Jackie, as well as young Valmont (both of them her age) as well as a younger Uncle. It seems like Valmony really embraced a life of evil even back then!

A very entertaining episode starring Jackie, Tohru, and Hak Foo with the armbands of Shiva (that give its user a pair of extra arms) and an accidentally-used shrinking spell... well, of course it's bound to be fun. Overall fun episode with Hak Foo as the star.

Only thing is, where are the releases for seasons 3, 4 & 5. I love the series but the only way I could watch it now was on Hulu and they just took those seasons down, before that they were all on Crackle's YouTube channel, but those disappeared too. I really hope the rest comes out soon. :)

After the success of the first season, the second season started strong with a great debut and a cool idea for the villian. We don't meet a new main villain, but Valmont and Shendu come back as one. After having his body destroyed, Shendu is given one more chance to try to wreak havoc on the world, and decides to try to take over Jackie's body. However, he inadvertently ends up in Valmont's body, and per the agreement he struck with his siblings, the body he chose was the one he would be stuck in, so when he accidentally landed in Valmont's body, he was unable to exit it and take the 'proper' body, which led to many hilarious situations through the season.

This season premiere was actually two parts. The whole season could be a bit confusing, because less than half of the episodes actually had to do with the Demon story arc, the rest were standalone episodes with other (usually one-shot) villians, and some of the later episodes actually took place in the storyline of Season 1, so the order of episodes could be confusing to some. I would have liked the story of the demons to be explored more (where did they come from, etc) but this was still a good season, and this episode was just awesome.

Originally, when this episode came out back in 2001, the title was 'Tale of the Demon Tail', and I like that one better than the current title, but whatever.

The next demon to be pulled out of the Demon Void is Hsi Wu, the Sky Demon. What he lacks for in size and sheer power, he makes up in cunning. Now, I am not sure how just slamming a door on someone would cause them to lose their tail so easily, but this is what has happened to Hsi Wu, and he must reclaim his tail. The Chans make off with the tail and use magic to guard it so that Hsi Wu cannot claim his tail so easily, so he must take a human disguise and befriend Jade. As you can probably figure, this does not work out too well in the end - but this is definitely a wonderful episode and one of the overall better episodes of Season Two.
