I had ordered this CPU from a competitor which claimed to be selling it as a refurbished part. Two separate shipments came DOA. I was apprehensive about ordering another unit from a different vendor especially one that claimed that it was used without any reconditioning. However, this unit was in virtually excellent condition. It worked as soon as I installed it and I have had absolutely no problems with it. The CPU was expeditiously shipped to me satisfactorily packaged. I am perfectly satisfied with this transaction and wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again, nor would I have any reservations referring others to this vendor. If you want this cpu to work at full speed, make sure that your computer's fsb is 800 mhz. I put this cpu in a computer that was that had a 533mhz fsb and the cpu ran only at half speed at 1.7 ghz. To put in comparison, the cpu that came with the pc is a 2.6 ghz. In conclusion it did not satisfy me and I could not send it back. I will keep it just in case I ever need it.
Nice boost in PC speed. Videos are now watchable. Perceived speed is about double when you figure that: * Processor speed: from 2.4 GHz to 3.2 GHz * Buss Speed: 533 to 800 * Hyper-threading does improve responsiveness * Larger L2 Cache
had to return did not work . I got give them the benefit of doubt my mother board list up to a 4.3 GHz chip but I will say it had a 1.8 and I upgraded to a 2.8 with no problems . So was it the Chip or my mother board ???
It shipped here in no time and even though its an older processor, it works just great! I will be doing business again if theres anything else i need that he has!
