This was a weird movie, but overall I enjoyed it. Lucille Ball at her best dramatic self. Henry Fonda as a passive, devoted love who keeps by her side no matter how poorly he treats her - which is sad to watch actually. Agnes Moorehead as the loyal friend Violette who ends up with Eugene Pallette, doing eating contests and opening up their own cafe - 100 lb Agnes would hardly do eating contests, but the scene where she starts talking to him with an apple in her mouth is pretty cute. The ending caught me by surprise. I would watch it again because I like the actors in it - the cinematography was well-done also.

I have seen this movie many times and love it. Well worth watching if only to see one of Henry Fonda's best performances. Lucille Balls performance was just as good. She wasn't just a good comedian but also a very good actress.
