    I ordered this from Stinky Imports, uh, I mean Hinky Imports, and it took 17 days for this item to arrive from the day I ordered it. The detail on the metal work could be better and more clear and less muddled and blurry. So, it's not quite as nice as the one pictured, but I kinda figured that might be the case from some previous comments around here. So, anyone considering buying one of these should definitely keep that in mind. After measuring the bell, it's actually 5.5 inches tall rather than the 6 inches tall as described (which makes it more like the "Medium Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Bell" than the Large one that I ordered), and the handle is slightly bent. No quilted cover came with my bell as one comment in comments section here indicates: "It also comes with a beautiful quilted cover which was a pleasant surprise" (by Rick on July 10, 2012). Well, there was no "beautiful quilted cover" that came with my bell, just some rolled-up newspapers from Nepal. Having said that, the bell sounds fine when it is rung.

    I think people have a right to know what they are getting, and the bell is all right for the money. If you want a nicer looking bell, get one exactly as photographed on eBay or something like that, but you will most likely pay more money for one that is fancier with the faces on the handle showing up much more clearly. A more affordable bell like this would be fine for most people looking for one without breaking the bank.

    It is more of a gamble when the item is a gift, there is more on the line when the receiver knows more about it than the buyer. I depended totaly on Amazon and their relationship with the seller. The seller seemed to be an expert with a detail description of the art of the ptoduct snd what to look for. The quality was a very heavy brass and a beautiful patina that is impressive. The receiver loved the bell and bottom line was the tone. I think the tone of the bell woke up 2014 already! That is great.............Thank you and I will be back for similsr products
