Great messages, not overpowering in its effects and music. It is engaging and usually keeps my 4 year old entertained. We usually watch at the end of night as a bed time treat when reading a story is not an option.

Thanks Nickelodeon and Amazon for a quality show and delivery of said show,

This show is cute. My daughter loved it when she was 1 to 3 years old and still asks for it occasionally now at 5.5. The characters are cute. Most kids adore animals of any kind and there are plenty with cute rescues...only thing for parents is the singing can be kind of annoying sometimes. Just let it in though. Eeventually you'll be humming and singing the theme song all the time...or it will just play on a continuous reel in your mind while you're trying to fall asleep or typing a review on amazon! That's the only catch.

In all honesty I don't love it. The songs get stuck in my head for DAYS! Talk about ear worm. However, my 15 month old does not sit still for anything except this show. She loves it and because it gives me a few minutes without her underfoot to make lunch/dinner/clean a bathroom, I let her watch it once a day. I appreciate the positive aspect of the show and the fact it's not completely a cartoon. I would recommend trying it out if you've never watched it, just be prepared to be singing, "wonder pets, wonder pets, we're on our way to help...." for days. :)

My almost 3 year old and I love watching Wonder Pets
-the characters (a guinea pig, turtle and duckling who live in a classroom) do gender neutral things
-the stories focus on teamwork, friendship and helping others...awesome
-showcases geography...the animals that Wonder Pets help are often in different countries or various regions of the US
-introduces kids to the operatic form as the characters sing a lot. We also do Music Together classes and sing about stuff and activities during the day so this fits right in
-each episode is only 12 minutes...great for limiting screen time. We sometimes watch an episode before going to bed. Since it's the only tv of the day for my daughter, no big deal
-animals..who doesn't love seeing cute animals do/say cute things?!?

I've stopped allowing my 4yo grandson to watch Wonder Pets. It is actually teaching him to say words the wrong way. He is still learning words and he doesn't understand the difference between saying the word properly and a speech impediment. This show made me figure out that I don't want to teach him the improper way of saying words.

I sent the wonder pet back. Not only did it not reliably make a sound when stroked in the appropriate places, but the sound it did make was very scary. It sounded like a monster. The sound coupled with the large strange eyes make this toy rather threatening to small children. My 2 year old granddaughter would have nothing to do with it.

My 2 and a half year old loves this show. He even pretends to save animals in trouble afterwards. The theme song is catchy and the storylines are cute. The classroom is always beautifully decorated to match each episode's problem. I know young children will enjoy this show.
