The package comes with mounting screws. Fan seems ok.
My two quips. Fan is not as quiet as I hoped for an htpc mini itx machine. The fan definitely has an airy, breathy sound. It doesn't whine but there is an added sound. Also for my RGeek case, the mounting screws did not fit. The RGeek case had screws that did accommodate the fans. Not sure if the screws not fitting is a fault of Scythe or the RGeek case. The fan mount points in the RGeek are odd but wanted to mention this.
Overall, these fans seem good. Just wish they were quieter.
The fan is roughly 2" in diameter, so it has a air flow path that is about 3 square inches ( pi*r^2).
They rate it at 27 CFM. A cubic foot is 144 cubic inches, so it should be moving 3,888 cubic inches per minute.
If the velocity is constant across the 3 square inches (it never is ...) that gets you to 1296 inches per minute or 21 inches per second. One mile per hour is 17.6 inches / second.
Does that feel like a one mile an your breeze? Yes, it probably does. It's still not a lot of air movement.
The punch line - this one moves 2X to 3X more air than most of the other ones I looked at. It's still *very* quiet.
