This goes with me everywhere. The pockets of my uniform pants at work have a horrible tendency to let things fall out of them when I am seated. This has resulted in the near-loss of my keys & multi-tool on many occasions. No more of that! My essentials are always attached now. The key chain has plenty of length to reach my ignition without detatching them. Love this product.

A must-have accessory for Swiss Army knife EDC owners.

There are a some things worth saying about this item:

- The belt clip works with a belt of course, but also works well without a belt by just attaching it to your belt line.
- Great solution for both jeans and dress pants.
- Better to buy this version with the chains rather than the simple ring and hook version, because this version contains all the parts to convert it into either one.
- This model has the short chain for your SAK and the long chain is for keys. I have no use right now for the long chain because I have too many keys to put in my pocket, but it's there if I do. I find the short chain better than the simpler ring & clip model, because your SAK will sit deeper into your pocket, and allows you to still use your SAK more often without having to detach it. The ring & clip model seems more suitable for hanging your SAK outside your pocket, which I don't care for. However, again, you can convert this model to the ring & clip model in 20 seconds by just attaching the hook to the ring (leaving the short chain on in case you change your mind later).
- High quality stainless steel everywhere as far as I can tell. It's just a great, solid product.

I love this thing, i wear it everyday. you don't have to remove your belt to put it on. it slides onto your belt, and then you clip it down securely, like someone else said, you could actually clip it to your waistband, or even your back pocket. this has the added benefit of allowing it to be easily removable should you go to the courthouse, airport, or other security check point.

the main chain is about 18" long, the secondary is 4". the secondary chain has a clip at the end that opens and closes. the main chain has a strong, solid steel O-ring, the type that you find on key chains. the chains are very strong and solid, will definitely not fail if there's a tough jerk on it. a bit heavy, but not bad at all, the chains collapse nicely in the pocket and don't take up as much space in the pocket as you would initially expect. The main chain is designed so you don't have to take it off to drive your car. it is the perfect length to reach your ignition, as well as your front door.

The belt clip itself is very nice. it's solid steel, shiny, and bears the Victorinox crest. there is faint etching that you can barely see that says, "Victorinox Swiss Made." The steel is just so solid, and I wonder if the cheap alternatives you see on Amazon will have the same robust construction that this sweet little baby has.

get it, I did and love it. carry it everyday, and it's just perfect for EDC use.

Well-built but not intuitive

Quality is really high but I am not sure how people are using this. Longer chain--I have no use for it. Shorter chain--seems too long to suspend a knife, as it reaches the bottom of my pocket. I am only deducting one star because it's not as easy to detach from my belt as I would expect.

The Belt Hanger and Chain are great. The chains are strong, and the links are sealed (so it won't be easy to pry them open). The jump rings (the circular metal rings at the ends of each chain) are very thick and very difficult to pull apart (they won't bend easily). The two split rings are very heavy, strong, and won't separate easily.

Overall the product is extremely strong, and well built.
