I recommend this MoBo for anyone into a budget wanting to get a sturdy, overall purpose board to build a system. When I was building my system a year ago I was on a budget and I decided to cut corners on the MoBo in order to favor the selection of a good CPU and video card, as well as enough RAM. I coupled this with a Phenom II X4 960T Black Edition, a Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 6850 and 8Gb of RAM. I have been using this built for some nine months now and it works like a charm. The only thing I miss is a lack of USB 3.0 ports, but that can be added later on. I'm also thinking of adding a Firewire port and with that I guess I'll have a MoBo that will last for a few more iterations. Go get it.

I was skeptical looking at this board because it said it had ddr3, twin PCI-E 2 ports, and runs a nice processor all for about half of what any other board with the same features would cost. It is stable as a rock and I have had absolutely no problems with it from day one. The raid is software enabled, so it takes an extra ten seconds or so to boot if you're using it. Also, the additional drivers found on the cd aren't anything wonderful. The instant boot tool is interesting, and it does work, but it essentially changes your computer so when you tell it to turn off, it instead restarts, and then hibernates, which is good and bad depending on how you like to use your computer. I also tried overclocking, and it worked great with my graphics card (an HIS Radeon HD 5670 IceQ, which cools amazingly), but my processor (an AMD Athlon 2 x3 3.1ghz Rana with stock cooling, which could be the problem, I don't overclock more than just to test), killed the system just by increasing the power 10 percent. Bottom line, very cheap and stable motherboard for a budget gaming computer. With the right parts, you can (as I did) build a gaming computer that can max out everything on ultra in starcraft 2 for under 500 bucks. Hope it works this well for Fallout New Vegas, haha.

I installed this board and inserted my newly bought DDR3 ram along with the CPU and all the other goodies. It booted up fine, BIOS was working great, so I proceeded to install Windows 7 Professional. Anywhere from original unpacking of the windows 7 data to the beginning of the windows install, I would get a BSOD. I thought it might have been my hard drive or possibly the RAM was malfunctioning, so I decided to check the RAM out. I ran Memtest86 to check the RAM. With both sticks in, the Memtest failed at test 7, right at the beginning. I decided to see which RAM stick was failing and tested each RAM stick separately. Both failed separately at test 7, right at the beginning. This led me to believe it wasn't a RAM issue as it seems very unlikely both would fail at the same spot. This ruled out the hard drive and led me to the motherboard.

I returned this mobo and both an MSI one that was a bit more expensive and had a standalone video card on it as well and it works great with all my computer parts, in fact I'm typing this review on my new computer right now! I would suggest you stay away from this motherboard. If there is one item you should splurge on when making a computer, it should be your mobo. I didn't listen to my own advice and had to deal with returning it and waiting for a new mobo.

So usually when I an item and it arrives DOA I wait till I get a replacement. DOA items happen with all electronics. So the first motherboard came in I started getting blue screens. So I took it in to have it tested because i bought many other parts at the same time and had no way of really testing them. When I got it back I was told the RAM was bad so I sent the RAM back and ordered replacement RAM only to find out that the same thing was happening. I ran memtest86 to find out both RAM would fail in module A at the same point and would fail at a different point in Module B. So after finding this out i came to the conclusion that the Motherboard was bad. Put in a replacement request with amazon and got a new motherboard 2 days later. First difference I noticed when opening was there were little papers explaining things like the instant boot that were not in the old motherboard box. This motherboard for the most part is working correctly. It's still iffy sometimes which shows the poor build quality. When booting the new computer sometimes the bios screen won't even show and will require 2 - 3 restarts to get running. And once every couple of days Windows will just randomly freeze where I have to go through the 2 - 3 restarts to get running again.

Overall I would say do not buy this board and if you can go with something thats a little higher priced so you don't end up with a motherboard that can't hold up.

Computer specs:
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GHz
2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600Mhz
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB
1x Seagate 500GB 7200RPM 3GB/s
1x Seagate 1TB 7200RPM 3GB/s

luckily for me this is a temporary board until I can afford the Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 AM3 Motherboard with USB3 and SATA 6GB/s

Bought this motherboard to replace an old Biostar TF560 A2+ that got fried during a thunderstorm.
Installed a couple of Kingston Hyperblue DDR3 2x2GB DIMMS and paired up with an AMD Sempron 140 that was easily unlocked and became an Athlon II 4400 by setting Advanced Clock Calibration to "Auto".

Booted up fine, installed Windows 7 Professional 64bits and all is working smoothly, no issues whatsoever. Great board!

Update.
Added Kingston Technology HyperX Blu 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM (Kit of 2) KHX1333C9D3B1K2/8G and my system is running flawlessly with 12GB of RAM

Bought this motherboard to replace an Asus one, which failed on me (I will never buy an Asus product again, as their '3 year warranty' is a joke, but that's another story!!!!). This board is well packaged, well made using high quality components and it's also attractive in my mid-range gaming rig. This board performs just as well as the previous Asus, but is half the price. Do NOT be put of the price, they haven't cut back on anything with this board. As long as the specs suit you, this board will do all that you ask! In the end, a very good buy......and yes, I do know that ASRock are a division of Asus, but they are still a separate company making their own product.

Das Mainboard ist sehr Preiswert und funktioniert bei mir sehr gut. Habe bereits 3 Stück davon in Rechner eingebaut. (Win 7 32, Win 7 64 und Server 2008) Die Garantiezeit von 2 Jahren wurde bereits überschritten. Ich nutze auf diesen Boards einen AMD X6 Prozessor.

Great board, easy to install, posted on the first test with 4 gig of Pc3 12800, 1600mhz DDR3 Corsair RAM and the AMD phenom 2 x2 Black edition...The jumper headers for the LEDs and power switch etc are really fiddly but fairly straight forwards to use when using the instructions in the lovely provided manual... Was worried at first because of the 8 pin power adapter slot thing.... My PSU only had the one 4 pin connector but after reading some posts on a few forums i discovered that it will work fine with just the one 4 pin connector inserted... apparently the other 4 pin connector is only needed if you're planning of pushing the processor over 140 watts. So yeah, so far for the price this seems like a good board I am very pleased with it :).

P.S be careful with the little plastic slidey things on the PCI express slots... they're very easy to break.. lol as i discovered :P.
