About what you'd expect for the price

This is a review for the 750 chip DaVinci case
This was the only 750 chip case I could find anywhere, so that's why I bought it; otherwise I would have spent more money for a better quality case. But I'm pleasantly surprised. This case isn't total junk. It's not high quality, but it's all you could hope for out of a $30 case.
The exterior dimensions are about 20 3/4" x 12" x 3".
The 10 chip rows measure 10 5/8 inches long. They're supposed to hold 75 chips. They'll actually hold 78 dice chips (typical home chips often sold as "official casino weight."). I'm using actual casino Paulson chips, which fit 82/row if they have typical wear - 81/row if they're mint.
The case holds two decks of poker sized playing cards, and the square in the middle is 2 3/8 inches which should be the perfect size for a typical 60mm dealer button.
As far as constructon goes, the chip rows seem to be made of wood, coated with a felt-like substance. Whatever it is, it seems solid enough that it's not going to crumple any time soon.
The latches are absolute junk, with useless locks that don't seem to work. The handle doesn't seem solidly enough attached that I'd trust it, but that's fine, because I wouldn't trust the latches enough to carry it around by the handle. This case will be carried under an arm or with two hands. But again, for $30, that's what I expected. The case has rounded corners as pictured and plastic feet on the hinge side.
So I'm giving it 4 stars, based on the price. I suppose you could say that since the latches and handle aren't strong enough to use the product as designed, it should only get one star. So use your own judgement.

As cool as this case looks and functions

As cool as this case looks and functions, it is NOT durable at all. After two months of using, the cheap glue that held the case together let go of the parts and the case ended up opening from the OTHER SIDE. I spent an hour trying to glue everything back using super glue but to no avail. Now I have to make sure that I pick the case up flat side down whenever I want to prevent my chips from falling out of the case.

I would recommend this case only to my enemy.

Absolute Junk

BUYER BEWARE!!! This is my first Amazon review. This case is complete junk. Therows holding the chips are not the same dimension, the middle rows require you to force the chips in they are so tight. When fully loaded FOR THE FIRST TIME the handle broke completey off, sending the case crashing to the ground. Not sure how my tile floor survived.

Not original Da Vinci Case!

I bought this case to replace one my brother had bought me in 2008. I had enjoyed a very sturdy case filled with 11.5 g chips using it at least once a week. Unfortunately the handle broke and the case had been significantly damaged by wear, tear and the heat (I used to leave it in the back of my trunk to be ready for any poker night). When I received this case I was on alert thanks to other customer reviews and inspected the tray which was indeed flimsy plastic and I knew wouldn't keep up with the use I subjected its predecessor. So I gutted the new case and replaced it with my old solid interior. Then I discovered this case is at least 1½" longer and 1" wider than my old case. I had to cut a hole around the plastic and then place the solid chip holder inside so it would fit snuggly in this case. I made it work but I really didn't like the fact that I had to "refurbish" a brand new case just to get the solid construction I expected from Da Vinci.

Disappointed

I've had 3 of their cases, all for 500 chips, but this was my first purchase of a case without chips, and I'm so disappointed. The case *looks* fine, but the foam in the top lid doesn't fit right and isn't attached to the case in any way. It fell out as soon as I opened the case. I put my chips in the case and tried to close the lid and it simply doesn't close right. It could be that tgr foam is too big, or it could be that the weight of the chips is making the seam bulge. It may be going back.

Update 03/10/17: I've had this case for over 2 years now, and take back my original assessment. Maybe the foam was just too new at the time, but the case is fine now. Still going strong. We only play once a month, so the case doesn't see much abuse, but it still looks brand new, no issues with the metal or hinges or anything really.

Great idea but very poorly made.

This product solves a real problem of handling chips but I have used it less than 10 times and it is broken on 3 of the 4 corners.
It needs to reinforced. Will likely only last one or two more uses. The handle is also very flimsy. Very disappointed. I would return it but it is more trouble to ship it back.
Someone needs to make a sturdy version of this case.

Cheezy case

The case is not strong enough for chip carry that I would trust. That is completely full of 750 chips. Handle is too small for case and foam is too tight for chips inside. Take it out.

Good Product

Nice little case. It holds chips, and two card decks as described. Only thing I gave 4 stars for was the top egg carton cushioning isn't secured to the top lid. Every time it was opened the cushion was out. I fixed it by putting Velcro stick on the inside of the top lid, and the cushion. Problem solved. Just think a quick spray with adhesive by the manufacturer would solve this problem with minimal additional costs.
