    I bought this set because I ran across a couple of books that I had to get. I love Lego and have every piece that I have ever had. My kids play with most of them and this set is no exception. This set is unique because there are 2 books

    1) The LEGO Build-It Book, Vol. 1: Amazing Vehicles
    2) The LEGO Build-It Book, Vol. 2: More Amazing Vehicles

    that enable you to build not just the 3 sets that Lego give you instructions for, but allows an additional 20 sets. I actually have 2 of these sets because I will build beside my kids when we build one of the 23 sets. Buy Legos and build, build, build.

    My son was so excited to get this for Christmas. It was one of the few items he asked Santa for. So today he opened it. Come to find out not all the parts are there. He is devasted and is almost in tears. I on the other hand am angry. As a parent, I hate to see my child be disappointed. Yes its a part of life, but you should get what you pay for. I expected more out of the Lego company.

    Nice model car, can be modified for play to fit in a lego figure with some imagination. Rides smooth. Pre-teen son uses it in "hummer-like" form (my favorite) to serve as paramedics in his town. He likes the looks of the car mode best, though. Not for rough play unless it's an older child that knows how to quickly put pieces back together. Seems to be a good (if not the best)buy within the "creator" vehicles series.

    This is overpriced because it's discontinued and two Build-It books are based on it. The books are really good but there aren't any unique pieces in this kit. Someone who has lots of Legos already probably doesn't have to buy this just to make the models in those books.

    My nephew LOVES legos. At 10 years old, legos and anything involving moving objects (cars, planes, etc.) is a huge hit. This fits those categories and one more: you can make THREE CARS with just this one box. That's like 3 toys in one. My brother-in-law said that my nephew loves to sit for hours working on projects such as this. Since it's a Lego product, I am confident that it will live up the expectation I have for quality and fun! (Shhhh...don't tell my nephew but I plan to get him another 3 in 1 set just like this for Xmas!)

    We assembled the car together with my 4 year old son. He did a lot of assembly by himself with me correcting him on occasion and helping with the installation of small tight fitting parts. As with all other 3-in-1 Creator sets we assembled, if you make the model that is featured more prominently on the box, you will end up with fewer left over pieces.

    The car is too big for a LEGO minifigure, but it is can definitely be played with. The rear glass hutch opens to reveal a V8 engine. The doors, when closed, are at an angle, which looks a little strange, but overall, I think this is one of a better LEGO models. I prefer this to LEGO Creator Blue Roadster 6913, which is also pretty good, but smaller.
