Desperately needed a good SSC, but this is not it for me!
I truly wanted this carrier to work for us, but it simply did not.MAJOR CONS:- At 5'4" with a petite upper half, the straps are nearly cinched to the max. This should be an issue, but it causes the straps to bunch and twist regularly. In order for even the basic positions to be comfortable, I have to readjust and fuss with the straps ALOT. It's ridiculous. I'm not that small of a person, although that would be nice. ;)This seems to be a design flaw. Since the straps must be repositionable for the different positions, they are attached by lacing the foam-filled straps through sortof... backpack heavy duty strapping. But, they don't really snap or tightly secure down the length of the foam strap, so they twist and the security strap gets misalligned. Again, I have tried to include a photo to better explain.- The side position is as or more painful than simply carrying my son on the hip on my own. It's a joke. And my son loves being on the hip, so I was really really hoping this would work.- As another reviewer mentioned, the instructions, both paper and video via website are almost laughable bad. I wanted to make sure my straps were not mixed up because I thought, surely, something must be my fault that these are twisting and so frustrating, but the photos and videos are not detailed enough for me to verify.I have read no reviews mentioning the issue I had, but it seems to be a design flaw, so I figure many parents just toss this aside when it doesn't work for them. Or I am just terrible at this, but I really dont' think so. I spent a good month with this carrier and fussed with it over too many baby naps. Too much valuable time has been spent on this already.
I sent this back as soon as I received it, never even opened it. I ordered this because it had a forward facing option. I had not been able to find it in a store to check it out where I live. I went back home and found it in a boutique, tried it on. My son was doing the splits! Yes I did the adjustments for forward facing, I can't even imagine if I hadn't. The straps look comfy online, but when you have it in hand you can see and feel the quality is just not there (especially if you have both the Lillebaby and the Ergo to compare). Not to mention there are way more straps to complicate things, and who needs anymore complication with an infant?! I went back to my parents house and ordered the Ergo, had it shipped to them so that I could use it on our visit. Don't waste your time on this, just go for the Ergo, it sucks that there isn't a forward position, but it is certainly the best!

I love this carrier but am now really disappointed that the head support got a small tear and is now tearing so easily with each use. It seemed like it was durable but is now not and my second child is only two moths old. I was really expecting it to last longer. My kids are very small so I was surprised it tore as we didn't put it through much stress.
Our first baby carrier was a Moby. LOVE IT! But, it's way to cumbersome to take out and about. So, we bought this for that reason, and because I wanted a carrier that would allow forward facing and hip carry. It was very complicated at first to figure out how to manipulate the straps...maybe it's just me. I'm a total pro now, except for the hip carry, which is not very comfortable. In the end, we ended up carrying her mostly backwards facing (which is comfortable)...it's better on her anyway. But, occasionally, we do the forward carry for short periods of time. My daughter seems to really like this carrier as well, so I assume it's comfortable. We machine wash and line dry. It's become a little pilly in the indside with use, but not bad. Would definitely recommend it.
I red a lot of reviews before ordering my carrier since I didn't want to by four or five to fine the best fit. This is one of a few that fit my two requirements, carrying face forward and a decent hip belt. We started with a moby wrap, and while it was nice in the beginning you do carry all the weight on your back and why break your back when you don't need to. The fact that the little one almost immediately tried to get a better view either by pushing her head back or trying to turn around was also a problem.
I chose the Lillebaby 5 position Everywear Baby Carrier Organic after reeding a review here that they wished they bought the organic because of the extra padding.
I like this carrier a lot, it fits perfectly (I'm 5'5"). I don't know if the lesser padding on the non organic once would have been fine and I don't find it two be too bulky with the extra padding. My daughter loves facing forward so thats the position we use the most, but when she is tired she faces in to sleep.
My husband however says that he prefers the moby wrap but he never takes the time to adjust the carrier to fit him well and he puts the hip belt at the waist instead of on the hips. He is taler than me so that could be an issue but I don't know that since he is to much in a hurry to adjust it more than that he can get it on him and the carrier have to be properly adjusted to carrie comfortably.
