This is the perfect size for my 6-month-old. I was looking for safe ( not dubious Chinese "safety standards) wooden grasping toys that would not break the bank and was so pleased to find this and one other. I have previously bought Haba toys for my older kids and have always been impressed. This is one of a pair of the first infant toys I've bought from them, and my high expectations were more than met.
He is not a gentle guy, and this has stood up to REPEATED bashing on our wood floor, our wooden dining table and just about anything else he can bang it on. The balls are SOLID. He did damage to my cheap-y pine lap table and the toy is completely unscathed.
He hasn't had any teeth erupt, but he does gnaw quite a bit on it and the finish is perfect. No chips or peeling in the clear coat or the paint.
Because I have been offered free items and even full or partial refunds in exchange for positive reviews on items (Chinese) from amazon and the reviews are becoming less and less trustworthy, let me say Haba has offered me NOTHING. I'm a mother of four looking for quality, not quantity in toys for my kids. I'm not wealthy, so I can't afford the high end stuff. Haba has delivered every single time. I am genuinely pleased as punch and will be ordering a few more of their infant toys because they are such wonderful quality.
