Great card, but there is a trick that you need to know to install the driver in Windows 10

I love the card, no issues and works great on Windows 10. This gave me a tremendous network and internet download speed increase over the internal Broadcom wireless chip on my HP Envy (mfg date Jun'15). My only complaint is that the documentation was insufficient in how to install the drivers, the key solution as follows:
1. Install card (the easy part!)
2. Download Windows 10 driver from TP-link site (under Support, Archer T9E, Windows 10 driver) -- this is a zipped file and unpacks to a SETUP application file. You run it and it says the driver is installed --- but really nothing happens, DM says there is no driver... Why? Because you MUST DISABLE the existing Network Interface Device first! Once you do this (then reboot) the Setup runs perfectly and all is well. Root Cause: What happens on Windows 10 system is that the new NIC is created as a Network Controller device, not under NETWORK ADAPTER as is should be (note, it didn't do this on my Windows 7 system). Once the existing adapter was disabled, Windows 10 created the new NIC card under Network Adapter and the Setup utility from TP-Link Driver download ran correctly... it took me over an hour to realize this issue, documentation was bare-bones 1-page sheet and didn't say anything about this. More accurate and precise documentation would have avoided this issue and saved me time/frustration. So I knocked off one star for this.

Great basic card with great gaming performance

didn't use driver included on CD, I just installed the card and when the computer booted up windows automatically installed the driver and the card has been working perfect ever since. the computer the card is installed in is a self built gaming rig running windows 10. all games run lag free and connection with my router is stable.

the only advice i can give is to make sure your computer has a PCI Express X1 slot (PCI, PCIe X1 and X16 are different). if you want windows to automatically install the driver make sure the system has an internet connection either trough Ethernet or however it was connected before installing the card. if you cant connect the system to the internet then us the CD driver. if the CD driver is outdated windows update should install an updated driver once connected to the internet.

PCI= old PCI interface.
PCI X1= new version of PCI that is for expansion cards to add functions not built into the motherboard. This card uses X1
PCI X16= replaced outdate AGP slot and is for video cards, slot is longer than X1 and normally has a retainer clip on the back of the slot.
there is an older version of PCI, I cant recall the name but its long and black. if you have that slot your system is likely running either windows 3.1, 95, or maybe 98.

***update 4/12/2016****

still working great, no driver issues and connection rarely has problems and when it does its normally the router at fault.

Update 4/3/2017:
Card still works great, the custom computer this card is in has been retired to file server duty and now runs Windows server 2008 R2 instead of windows 10. I would no longer recommend this card for gamers as there are far faster cards out there such as wireless AC cards (requires an AC router to make a difference). Also wouldn't recommend as the primary connection method for a file server (I use ethernet). This card would be quite useful still for users who do not wish to do extreme gaming ( basic internet based games are ok). For simple internet usage (social networks, YouTube, Netflix, ext.) This is a more Than Able card and provide many years of reliable service.

I purchased this recently because my Wireless N 2.4GHz dongle I had laying around was not cutting it for my PC build in my new location where I can't do ethernet or ethernet over powerline. Installed the card and it fit rather snug. Loading windows, it was not recognized, but as soon as I installed the driver from the disc on Windows 10 with Fall Creators Update, it sprung into action right away and I was able to connect to my 802.11ac router right away. Speed is VERY fast. My only 802.11ac device has been my iPhone as my MacBook Pro has only wireless N. The speed difference is night and day. I get 88Mbps symetrical up/down which is what I get over ethernet with FiOS.

Worked perfectly, no issues

I bought this two months ago and it has worked perfectly. Previously I had connected to my router using a wireless USB adapter. There were issues when I woke up my computer I would have to reconnect or unplug and plug it back in. Sometimes the connection speed would drop for no apparent reason. This card has given me zero issues. Granted that one costs less than $10 and when I bought this it was a little over $58.

As for the performance, my internet connection (even when physically connected to the router via an Ethernet cable) is only around 30mbps. So this card can easily get my maximum internet speed from my ISP.

Unlike other reviews, I had no issue installing this on my Windows 10 computer and Asus Motherboard.

Great value for the price. Not for Beginners

Almost 4 months of solid use and no problems. Used to create hot spot using phone via USB for internet. Not the fastest card out there but has been very stable under load. I don't see a big heat increase but I over do my cooling normally with 9 fans on full tower with liquid cooling for CPU and GPU. Make sure you update drivers and disable any onboard WiFi or a conflict will result. Nominal speeds up to 120 Mb/s which is over what is needed for 4k video (25Mb/s). some basic computer build knowledge is required to get the most out of this card. For the price it is a great value.

Works so so for a quick fix until something better

Works so so lots of pings and after a few months I replaced it. Not worth the cheap price unless you're looking for a temp' fix until you can get something better. Personally I like using high quality laptop half cards with an adapter to fit to desktop as these laptop cards are usually made better. I replaced the tp link card with a 1540 half card and adapter, though the intel 7260 is probably the best, dell had the 1540 rated for my computer and I didn't want any problems nor needed bluetooth, may try out the 7260 in the future.
