Needs more aggresive 'teeth' for muddling

Top marks for quality and easy grip, but the 'teeth' on the bottom of this muddler will not help you tear into much...fine for crushing sugar cubes and releasing a bit of oil from citrus skins, but probably won't get the job done for something like mint leaves, at least not 'in the glass'.

I make a lot of Caipirinhas, and use this for the demerara sugar, but usually wind of juicing the limes separately--it's easier to use a hand-press than this muddler, which is a bit disappointing.

OxO is the best brand for bartenders. Don't save yourself a few dollars to buy cheaper or prettier imitations.

We had a whole set last a high volume 200-300 covers a night bar last over 3 years.

This is a replacement muddler. I think it is awesome. I first used to to smash avocados for gucamole and it did an excellent job. It is easy to clean and it doesn't slip out of your hand. Muddles mint for mojios well also. It is an all around great product.

I was trying my best to convince myself the back of a wooden spoon would work just as fine as a muddler. Well we got into a mojito kick this summer and Wrong-o! I should have gotten this sooner and saved myself all that time.

OXO makes THE BEST kitchen products out there. This is one of the most heavy duty kitchen devices I own. It's solid metal and glorious. We've run it through the dishwasher. I'm positive I will never have to replace this, and it's not from a lack of use, I promise you that. Cheers!
