Some of Celebrity Rehab patients go through another bout of recovery in a addiction free living environment. The Dr.Drew Rehab series give you a first look at the process of people in recovery during and the after care, life style change that one must do in order to stay free from the addiction(s). This process can be obtain successfully using the recovery tools daily. Jennifer, in Sober house a peer counselor that went through the program herself successfully but should have senior staff member working with her at all times.
I realize that Dr.Drew has guidlines that everyone (patients and staff) should abide by but "CarrieAnn" in both places was a hinderance not only in her recovery but to the others patients in both places and I feel that the young lady should have been immediately removed from the properties. No body should deal with such abuse. The staff and patients went through situations that was totally uncalled for. Their recovery was compromised. Each state rehab requirements I am sure are different Carrie Ann was using while in the house and CarrieAnn with transfer papers would have been on the next bus,van to a more intense treatment center. The rehab series is good but the government and private funders should give more funds for professional staffing, nurses, techs to help run the recovery centers better. Withdrawal is a part of recovery people are very aggressive, onedge, but it is a safe, clean environment. The residence would be required limited amount of clothing from home, clean their room, and keep the centers clean.I would like see more programs on recovery from Dr.Drew. It's unfortunate that the producers missed the opportunity to show the audience a healthy environment for addicts to recover in. Instead they tried to bring back Carrie Ann (twice) for more drama. Jennifer, the house "leader" lacks the professionalism, education, and leadership skills to communicate effectively with the residents. She consistently antagonizes residents and fosters a circus atmosphere. Shame on Dr. Drew for not employing a qualified tech to run the house.
